Just checked a few of the usual suspects for stock availability and I think all of the items that I posted about yesterday, have gone (except for poor Chunk on one site, ha, ha) and I have updated the list below accordingly. However, there is some light on the horizon and I have listed the most promising news first…:j
http://www.hoorayfortoys.co.uk
News received last night:
We are now able to provide our latest stock update for this range.
We are not expecting any further deliveries in November. We have further orders in for December but this has not yet been allocated and we will provide further info if and when we receive confirmation.
We will be listing the remainder of our current stock on Tuesday evening at 7pm.
We have:
Hamster Deluxe Funhouses - good supply
Mr Squiggles - Limited Stock (around 40)
Spiral Slide - Limited Stock (around 20)
Wheel and Tunnel - Limited Stock (around 20)
Car and Garage - Limited stock (around 40)
Beds/Blankets - Limited Stock (around 30)
Carriers/Blankets - Limited Stock (around 30)
All existing prices stand.
We continue to have a reasonable supply of Chunk, Pipsqueak and Num Nums.
ADD ON ORDERS - We have had a lot of customers recently making two orders in the same day. If we spot it (or they inform us by email) we marry the orders up, dispatch them together and refund one of the postage costs.
If anyone ever has an existing order which has not yet been dispatched and they wish to place another order - please either contact us before you make the second one (we will advise you how to pass through checkout postage free) or contact us just after you make the second one and we will void the postage payment on your second order. It is in nobody's interest (except our courier) to pay for or send two orders out to the same address on the same day. It is important to let us know - either by email or phone - so we can ensure we process your orders together.
Due to the linited stock and the anticipated demand (they have had hundreds of phone calls and e mails over the weekend), the add ons will be strictly one per order and it will say so in BIG BOLD TYPE on the listing. Anyone trying to order more than this will have the whole order cancelled.

These websites definitely are the same, just with the individual branding on them.
Just hamsters – don’t think you can choose which one.

You can check stock of hamsters (can’t choose which one), houses and cars in your local store but no home delivery showing now.

Everything showing as out of stock. But as most of you know, they do have stock and keep ‘drip feeding it’ onto the site throughout the day. On Friday they listed carriers and beds (pic is orange but you will be sent a random colour, you can’t choose), wheels, slides, and houses (from what I can recall) a few times during the day. Needless to say, they sold out quickly. This is one of those site that doesn’t guarantee your basket so you can’t dither about – see my post earlier yesterday.

www.character-online.com
All out of stock. Expecting to list the playsets (ball, surfboard and skateboard) and probably houses on 19/11, and carriers / beds on 18/12. No add ons (slide, wheel, car) expected to be listed on these dates. Hamsters will be listed sometime between 11/11 to 30/11. Best to ring them regularly for an update in case these dates and potential stock changes.

A site from the USA that ships internationally – has all the latest new hamsters, add ons, accessories and outfits, yes I said outfits (my personal favourites are the tutu and the scuba diving ones). In stock or for pre-order.

Not even out of stock items showing on the site anymore.
www.boots.com
All out of stock but houses are expected soon (anything up to 2 weeks) – don’t waste your time ringing them as they apparently are not given advance warning of when the stock will be listed.

Smyths toy store in Ireland and Northern Ireland only – reserve and pick up only
Check website for stock update
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ and www.play.com and www.ebay.co.uk
Everything ‘at a price’. Read the descriptions very carefully to double check whether the items you are ordering are actually in stock. Check the RRP on the toysrus website before deciding whether you want to pay these prices. However, if you think about it, if you ordered these items online, you may well have paid around £4 to £5 P&P, and there is the personal cost: how much time (think of being paid at the minimum wage for each hour you've spent on this quest) and effort you have you spent trying to locate the item including parking costs and petrol - not to mention the stress of it all. You may find its actually cheaper just to get one off these sites (well within reason of course).
High street shops
Forum users have mentioned getting things in store at SOME branches (not all stock go go hamster items) of: Toymaster shops, local small toy shops, Boots, Wilkinsons, Sainsburys, Tescos, Argos, TJ Hughes, John Lewis, Hamleys and Harrods. And of course, toysrus and argos. At the minute, apart from the imminent listings from Hoorayfortoys and Character-online (as discussed above), and the drip feeding of stock onto the toysrus website and the possible availability of argos stock locally, in store seems to be the best way of trying to pick up stock.:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
Wow! That's some post. You're de hamster! :T0

There is also www.mailorderexpress.com but they have been out of stock for a while - maybe it might be worth contacting to see if they are expecting a delivery sometime soon?0
