Hi everyone, I'm back....

Had to go into the real world and do some shopping! Had a shifty around Newcastle but nothing to report - John Lewis, Argos, Wilkinsons, and Boots had all sold out and the other main shops looked at me as if I was from Mars when I asked if they had any go go stock (I was going to text someone on this forum to post any stock if I found it). Anyway, Boots had had 48 hamsters apparently last week (on 3 for 2) and there was only one left on the empty shelf, yes, you've guessed it, it was poor old chunk again. I had a little chat with him and pressed his nose to cheer him up then went on my merry way. 20 minutes later I was feeling sooooooooooooooooo guilty that I had left him all alone there, that I went back with the intention of giving him a good home. I'm pleased to say that he had gone so hopefully he'll get a lot of love this christmas :T

Got a response back from Argos after I e mailed them yesterday to complain about people selling their reservation numbers for houses on ebay (they were charging £4.99!):

"Thank you for your e-mail regarding selling reservation numbers.
Although we are aware that people are selling our reservation numbers on other websites I am afraid that at the present time we have no control over the matter, but thank you for bringing this to out attention." As per a previous post today, ebay have now pulled these listings after several of us reported the seller :T

That's great news! :T Well done! I'm desperate for a hamster and a house and there hasn't been any in my local store for weeks! Its infuriating when people are reserving them to sell on at ridiculous prices and esp when they want to sell the reservation number for £4.99 - shocking!

I was speaking to staff in Argos today and they said that the reservation system automatically updates at midnight so I suppose that is the time to search your local store to see if there is stock and to reserve.

It's also useful to check just after the stores close each night just in case people don't collect their items. Thats how i got my house, i went on at 2 min past 8pm & there were 2 instock. they had been showing as out of stock all day

I've been to Toys r us Gateshead and they had nothing left. Tescos at Durham had about 8-10 hamsters but nothing else.

I know we are certainly the 'poor relation' in respect of shops selling hamster items here in the Newcastle / Gateshead area. Sainsburys 3 for 2, ha, I wish, not a sniff of anything hamster related at the time, nor tesco, nor wilkinsons...what are you still looking for and I'll give you a shout if I see anything in the local area?

haha well...I have been saying I'm not buying anymore, BUT if i knew the ball was available I would probably get it...and two beds for the 2 hamsters I bought the other day. I haven't got the surfboard thing or the carriers but I'm not really bothered about those.
