They will definetly go up and to silly prices. At the moment there is still the odd one around but I would think by the end of next week there will be none in any shops.

I thought they might go up on ebay but theres loads of everything listed and a lot of my friends have never even heard of go go hamsters, so I did kind of hope the prices might drop a bit due to so many being on there, but maybe not!

It's a gamble really, your best bet is to watch as many as you can and hope that you can pick one up cheapish. Just don't get carried away whilst bidding, because as you say at the moment there is quite a lot so you can go onto the next one for sale if you loose on one;)
But also keep an eye on this thread because maximouse is doing a fab job finding new supplies all the time and telling us all quickly, so if there is any out there to be bought at a decent price then maximouse will find them for us :T:T

It is hard to say, but there are at least more of these coming into the country ~20th November and the stock supply may ease a little bit and cause eBay prices to soften ... or by that time there may be more parents out there looking..

You can watch Character around that time ... that or a very good Go Go Hamster stockchecker and try and bag one at Retail price.

It will always be a bit of a gamble ... I guess it is a question of how much you value (or grudge) a few pounds now to secure your (and everyone else's) elusive ball.

The ball does seem a lot more popular than the Skate and Surfboards, but the manufacture and delivery process packages the three as one order unit, so unlikely that we will see any increased production over the other items.

So ... there's a wee bit more information to help you decide what to do, but it aint clear cut.

Just wanted to say I LOVE these......they are so cute. Sadly, I have 2 boys who are not interested in the slightest. Not sure I could get away with asking hubbie to get me some for Christmas lol!!!! Anyhow - just wanted to say good luck with the search & hope you all get what you want. Will keep my eye out and post if I come accross any :rolleyes:

Having stalked these types of Crimbo threads for the last 3 years I really think this will be another 'Elmo'.

For those that missed that excitment.. Elmo was released as the next big Christmas toy in 2007.. October/November demand was high but primarily due to the eBayers out to make a few quid.. as Crimbo approaches eBayers realise they can't buy.. receive.. list and resell in time for Christmas day so the toy store stock builds up again!

The kids will never appreciate the extra 10 hrs and £ you put in searching for that Hamster Ball! Don't panic buy just to be a winner.. pick one up in the New Year at the real rrp or maybe less!

Don't forget, character-online told me yesterday morning (yes, I fell asleep on the settee and its now 02.05hrs!) that they are expecting to list the balls, skateboards and surfboards on 19/11, then the beds and carriers on 18/12. They were not expecting any add ons (slide, wheel, car). However, as we've found out, things can change, so its worth ringing them regularly to find out the current status - that's how I got my info.

Oh no, my daughter has just asked me to write her christmas letter to Santa, and told me not only does she want Num Nums but that he might come with 2 or 3 hamsters and he needs the 'Magic Hamster Holiday Ball' !!!!!!! It's in writing to Father Christmas! There's no escape!

Just got an email off amazon sincerely apologizing but no stock on the £7.99 hamster I was lucky enough to bid on so there goes another one, noting dead cert, even when you put all your bank details in get it confirmed and then it is still a waiting game, character have emailed to stay they will be sending, littlewoods say no stock but expecting by the 4th december, toysrus did deliver, I have got all these things pending and no deliveries:rolleyes: at times like these ebay does look attractive especially the ones that say 'in UK stock available, send immediately'
