Hi, newbie here. I had the same issues with toysRus(eless) taking the money. when i spoke to them they were not interested. but my bank Halifax were good as gold and got the money put straight back into my account, even though one of the transactions happen just minutes before. You can contact TRU on 08457869778 and request they fax over notification that there was a problem with the transaction to your bank and the bank will cancel the pending payment, if they refuse then the bank can do it anyway. hope this helps.

just recieved my john lewis order...ordered 3 hammies...only recieved 2 (both chunk) but charged for 3 and on invoice says 3, they were sent out in a this plastic mailer and boxes are both totally crushed and squashed..

Left my DH with my card to get a Nums Nums this morning while I was at a group at the school, he said the card was declined 3 times, phoned bank to find out why and told that a £14.98 payment to TRUs was approved, no emails from TRUs and no order in 'My orders' on website. TRUs are saying they haven't taken the money... what do I do??

Its not just TRU and Paypal. Hubby has 2 payments on his Credit Card that are for non-existent orders, one from TRU and one from HoorayForToys. I was lucky enough to get a house from hooray, but the other one is still showing as payment debited from his card. TRU emailed me back saying sorry, and money should be refunded to card within a week, not holding out much hope though.

Not sure where I stand with the Credit Card though - is it protected? Can hubby call them and have the money put back on?!

A tip for those paying via Paypal.........
I had similar problems last year with pre-charges been put on my card.
If your paypal account is verified , instead of using your debit or credit card , use instant bank transfer.. It doesn't pre-charge your account & the money is taken only if the transaction is successful , usually around 3 days later , not instantly.

On a positive note , all 4 hamsters i ordered from TRU last week have just arrived. Just need to find the house & accessories now : /
