  • Is there a thread anywhere for people swapping items? I know we cant on here but thought there maybe something somewhere
  • Hubby just rang Tesco 24 hour in Exeter have a couple of sets - ball, surf board - we don't need these but he rang to let me know so I could "let my new friends know!" Hope this helps someone.

make sure toys r us havent taken two orders, i once got charged twice for my shopping in asda and the bank managed to cancel one, so could be worth a call maybe? hope you get it sorted :)

Just rang them and they said they only have one order but they reserve the funds and take the money out when the order is dispatched so if i confirmed the order more than once (which i did cos i didnt think it had gone through) it will still reserve the amount but i will get it back (hopefully)
  • I have a coop bank debit card and since yesterday I have had the same "unable to authorise" message after putting in my verified by visa password.. I have phone the bank who are aware of the issues and are trying to sort it out.

Im with Citibank and its just showing as

    account balance xxx
available balance xxx but this is down £60 from the top amount

I was only on there this morning transferring some money to different accounts so I know its TRU

Is there any chance I have the order but its just not showing in my account?

  • Woo Hoooo Mr Sqiggles and Chunk have just arrived, well of course being a wonderfull responsible mum i had to unpack one and try it, OMG there well packaged took me 10 mins to get them stupid plastic tie things off :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Put Mr squiggles on the carpet, well poor thing has been stuck in that box so long thought he may like some exercise, Ha ha ha how funny, My son will love it, shame i forgot to shut the dog out though, he chased poor Mr squiggles all around the lounge, and tipped him over twice, i think it will be a dog free zone when the hammies are out on xmas day.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

theres a group started on here, over on ebay, purely for swapping or selling at rrp (i think) but i cant remember who was running it, or there is hotukdeals they also have a thread, but i dont think it is the magnitude of this thread.

It's not just toys r us, CM gifts and collectables did the same to me last week. I'm still waiting for my money back.

It will take its sweet time and ive been told by TRU customer services it can take anything from 7 to 30 days.. how they get away with that ive no idea. Dont worry about not having totals just tell your bank that your available balance isnt what you think it should be, they will be able to see the transactions on system and if you tell them the trouble you've been having they should refund you without any hassle :)

Thanks, I think im going to cancel my non exsitent order through the bank as I cant afford to have £60 locked away for 30 days, especially with it being christmas...it would of been cheaper to get him from Ebay

Okay so it is a fair guess that toyrus have reserved thousands of pounds with paypal. This really is unfair right before Christmas. I really would like to hear Martin's view. I'll PM him.

  • i just phoned my bank as i have 5 transcations pending (from TRU today) and no order in my history.

They said that if i phone tomorrow they will delete the pending transactions for me.

    Can't afford to lose £120 + for 7 days

Might be worth ringing your bank to see what they can do
