went to tesco at 7:30am this morning, nothing, stock check said they would get some more tonight.. Phoned all the wilkos in the area, nothing, not even the new store opening tomorrow Phoned TJHughes, SA is phoning me back when delivery come down.. grrr I only want a slide or wheel.. have a spare car but need more...

I just love John Lewis. You may recall I copied over an e-mail from them advising that you could call their stores and reserve stock? Well - being obsessed with my quest for hamster "stuff" - I e-mailed my local store to see if I could reserve something.

They've just phoned up to say that there is no stock in the John Lewis Partnership. They are awaiting stock, and when it comes in it will go straight to their website.

The lady seemed quite bemused by all the fuss over these furry little critters, and seemed almost embarassed to admit that until last week she'd never heard of them...

in my opinion, unless you have a good friend that works at any of the major stockists, it seems fairly pointless asking as they all seem to be sworn to secrecy.
i did a tour yesterday of toysrus, tesco and asda and gave up after that as they all swore blind that they had no idea when stocks would be arriving, apparently the hammies are warehouse gatecrashers :rotfl:

Me too, I'm South (Bournemouth) and no luck at all!!
I emailed Toys R Us and they said they couldn't tell me when they were getting stock!!

I don't think I will ever get a hamster, I really dont want to pay more than twice the price!!
