I can't believe that some toy stores are not aware of these adorable little creatures but yet on saturday I called into a local store (smaller, independant) and asked about them. They said that they had had a few batches of hamsters which had sold out but hadn't ordered any accessory sets as they didn't think they were a big seller!! :eek::rolleyes:

When I told them about the scale of the hysteria for these they looked at me like I was mad :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and no they aren't expecting anymore stock before christmas.

I'm still looking for a slide and a wheel, so I called around some more toy stores (in the hope that living so far north, no-one else would be looking ) and the story is that most stores expect to get a few hamsters but no accessories until about february. There just wasn't enough accessories made apparently.

Also about 6-8 weeks ago I very kindly informed all my friends
and the Mums I speak to at the school gate and warned them to go and get them while they could. Most of them hadn't heard of them and didn't believe that it was set to be the hottest toy since the cabbage patch doll..... guess you saying I told you so now :p:p

Raffles are not allowed on ebay and all will disappear as they are reported.

Sure this isn't legal - someone tried to raffle their house for 20 quid (i think) a ticket close to me, sold thousands fo tickets (the price for the house for sale was close to a million or something) about a week bfore draw it all got stopped - Im sure it was something to do with a gambling license -

Just caught up with all the pages since this morning, has taken about 20 minutes.

Anyway, went to my local Wilkinson today and no hamsters on the shelves, then went to Toys R Us (Hayes) and they didn't have anything, on the way out I asked at Customer Services if they were getting any hamsters or beds/carriers in and she said best to come in on Thursday morning but she wasn't sure so am assuming they are expecting a delivery on Wednesday evening.

Then went across to the Bulls Bridge Tesco, it's a big one and they didn't have any where they had them last week. I did manage to buy a Sylvanian Dormice Family for half price though so was happy with that.

Can't go to TRU on Thursday morning as I have a doctors appointment at 9.15am but might go there after just to see if they have anything.

Nothing else to report back, think it's just a case of watching the stock checker and trying to be quick if anything comes up.

Good luck and please, please, please can we all be nice today, I've been posting in this thread since Page 3 and there has never been nasty comments until a few days ago, I will be very, very, very sad if the thread gets closed down after I've read every single page.

I see ARgos have stock according to the stockchecker on zuzuhamsters but none around here, where is this stock??

Spoken to Toys R Us, they are expecting more hammies between Weds and Friday - not sure if just hammies or add ons etc as well, that was the exeter branch - they are not sure about other TRU. As normal is limited to 1 item per customer.

Hi everyone

Just back from Asda Living, Oldham where I managed to pick up the car/garage and the slide/ramp for £14.97 each. They still had a few of each item left on the shelves. Still no luck with the hamsters though but they did have an empty space for them.

Tried Tesco and a smaller Asda too but still can't find any hamsters - have I missed anymore online since last night's stock at Wilkinsons? (I made it to checkout but it was then OOS).
