    Good morning all.

Interesting post Liz regarding the reasons unknown for not listing all of characters stock.

I wonder if it is to keep the momentum going of keeping the items in high demand as each week only limited amounts are sold, thus keeping everyone still wanting more?

    Good luck to everyone today.

Don't think that's the motive ... they did try and list Friday morning, but the site wasn't having it ... it was creaking from the F5ers.

Thereafter Toys R Us site crashed several times.

They don't need to try and keep demand high. It already is and will get worse without anyone trying.

Can anyone tell me how long one of these hamsters runs around for? I just pressed chunks back through the hole in the top of the box, and its still whirling/sneezing/beeping after 3 minutes and showing no signs of stopping!

:rotfl::rotfl: I had a pipsqueak did that to me, try pressing the button on its back again.

I work at Sainsbury's and that is not happening in my store! In fact you would be sacked if they knew that was happening. In my store you can't reserve things before they go on sale and one of the conditions of having the staff discount card is that you can't buy items to sell on Ebay - these rules apply to all stores. You should report the store to Sainsbury's head office.
  • On the phone to Blah and that is about the depth of their answers "Blah blah blah". They are trying to make out that those that ordered and got despatch clearly were first in the line - and that their confirmation emails were delayed. I have now asked as to why they then re-listed an hour later rather than going back to those customers that had had their orders cancelled.....no answer - she is off speaking to the toy buyer at present.

I have told her they have had a lot of negativity over the weekends action and alot of unhappy customers. Also warned her of my not so nice emails!!!!!

I shall update you as and when i hear anything else......
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A

To HAVE stock and to LIST it are two different things.

Character already have 3/4 of last weeks own stock unsold but they opted not to list .. reasons unknown.

The above post is simply a re-hash of importation info which I posted previously (probably a month ago) whereby Air freight is due in the UK today and next monday ... hamsters only as I understand it.

By the way, I like the fact that they think hourly updates will help you when you typically need to act within 2 minutes. My own site does 60 second updates for that reason.

Do you own the zhuzhuhamster.co.uk then? Sorry I was a bit slow on the uptake. YOU ARE BRILLIANT. Your page has been minimised on my pc for a week now! I do not use the other ones because I read they are paid by stores to list. Keep up the good work :T

thats a good point funny onion about keeping the momentum going

i had a problem with character taking money but not getting an order number let alone getting the actual order! they then said they would honor the order and are sending the order out to me allegedly! so they must have to keep some stock to sort out problems maybe?

i am not holding my breath that the order will actually come though!
In the end, we decide if we're remembered for what happened to us or for what we did with it ;)

This is so confusing, my hubby went to 24 hour tesco's in Exeter this morning at about 7.30, couldn't see any hammies and asked at customer services and was told they are no longer stocking that item - eeeeeeek - what do we believe, I think I will still keep sending him in the mornings just to check - he may get a bit fed up of this though!!

well they were def there at 6.30 am they told me the same on the computer that they were no longer doing them but def there in the box on the floor ready to be stock as i took the surfboard out and asked a woman there if it was alright to take it as it wasnt on the shelf sorry if they are gone :(
