I think most people on here are trying to are trying to avoid paying high prices from Amazon/ebay sellers!
Good luck with your fund raising
I am asking here because you are all obviously keeping an eye on where the hamsters are available and I have seen many buying off ebay when they see a bargain.0 -
Hi all
I was wondering how to get the best price for my hamsters?
Before you all shout let me explain.
I have some extra hamsters and bits that I want to sell and give the money to the Sheffield childrens hospital who have recently operated on my one month old nephew and over the years treated another of my nephews.
I started looking for hamsters for my daughter but I think she is too old and not bothered about them even though I have dropped some hints.
Do I list them on Ebay ? Amazon prices seem higher but are people buying from their sellers?
I know it is against your principles but I already have the hamsters and want to get the most I can for the hospital.
James
:T well done you!! I think the prices are higher on Amazon because the charges to sell are very high. radio station is a good idea - have you asked the hospital (or friends of the hospital) if they are having a christmas fair or raffle?0 -

Morning all, I'm back on looking for a ball and another hammie today despite feeling very poorly. Was speaking to a SA in JL yesterday and she was saying, I cant understand it, the stock is coming in, and showing as in stock on the system, but selling before it even hits the shelves! Think members of staff are nabbing them before they're even put out!
That is exactly what is happening! My friend works for Sainsbury's and they had stock in last week and every single item went to staff! They are calling it their christmas bonus, they even have a rota for who gets what!
As a first poster just want to say thanks for all the info on here :T0 -

Just to let anyone in the Paisley / Glasgow area know that the newly opened Sainsburys at Braehead has all of the hamsters in stock at the moment, about 50 on the shelf (£14.99 of course) but no other items. My sister in law has kindly phoned to ask if I need any, but I have what I need, just passing on the info, hope it helps someone. x
