I sold the 1st 6 seasons of CSI for about £15.75 + £10 P&P
All watched once in excellent condition must cost me £180.
Then I put my mums old fashion sideboard on for local pick up only (which limits the audience). It was an ugly big mahogany thing but sold for £95.
Didnt think she'd give it away.
SOld 20 year old carebears for about £15.00 each but lost about 90% on some year old sylvanian families stuff.
One mans trash really is another mans treasure i guess

It's quite funny that, Mark. that's one of my sayings, "my tat is another man's gold", and I mentioned to my son the other day that his toy box needed pruning a bit ready for santa, and he goes "yes, I think so. Another man's tat is my gold Mum" - Hence the reason that I have stopped taking him to the car boot sales when we go. He spends anything that he makes on worse tat than he's actually sold!!!!!!!!!:xmastree:0

isn't it just! sorry to go all sentimental here, but a post I read earlier made me think. A cuddle off my kids costs nothing, but it's worth is really priceless. Is it parenthood that makes us think like that, cos kids can be materialistic little !!!!!!s sometimes! Lol:xmastree:0 -
funny.onion wrote: »One of the funniest auctions I ever saw was when I was looking for a party dress for my daughter and there was a lovely pink frilly dress being modelled by a very sullen looking boy. The seller wrote that she was very sorry about the picture but her daughter had outgrown the dress but her son fitted in and had VERY reluctantly modelled it. Priceless!
I hope the poor blighter got a very good commision !"Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates man from the animals ...well except the weasel." - Homer J Simpson

My work here is done! I am away off up the wooden hill now. Goodnight all. Sleep tight, and don't let the hamsters bite! lol
Good luck in your hamster searching tomorrow. x:xmastree:0 -

I did bribe my son once to try on a liverpool top for his cousin's birthday present. Cost me though. DS is a Man Utd fan! :j:xmastree:0 -
I have been really lucky with my oldest DD. I honestly can't remember when she has ever really asked for anything.
When we take her shopping we literally have to force her to pick something out we can buy for her.
Saying that she is nearly 13 and when i asked her if she wanted anything for xmas she said a house with pool and a car
one extreme to another :P"Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates man from the animals ...well except the weasel." - Homer J Simpson
