Check all the completed items and most of them have ended with no bids so either Ebay have ended them or the sellers have ended their listings.
The problem now is no one is going to risk auctions in case it happens again and they will up the price of stuff to make up their losses on what they sold cheap tonight.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Thanks got that.0 -
i have to say if you are so anti ebay why use it. if you all stopped bidding the prices would have to come down as ebay is all about supply and demand and you are ALL incresing the prices yourself by putting on bids. buy it nows are normally calculated by sellers searching completed listings to see what they can get for the item at current market value so if auctions are selling low then the buy it now will be lower. and if you know a shop is with holding stock for staff, and they are selling on ebay then why not report them to head office!!!! Toys r us staff are not allowed to resell on ebay!
However I hope you do all get what you want and without overspending but try to remember christmas is about family time etc ( i lost my dad in January and never expected that to be the last christmas i had with him and i wish i could exchange presents for more time with him) . also if you asked your kids what they got last year 95% wouldn't be able to tell you so please bear this in mind when you are spending £150+ on items which are already being resold on ebay.:T0 -

Thats a bit harsh. Someone on here has already made the point - its people buying up stock at rrp and then selling it on at huge prices which is the problem. Not quite the same as the odd extra item or something you dont use any more. A friend was in the local toy shop and the person in front of her bought all the toy beds (16 approx) no doubt for ebay. If you are a business register yourself - if you are an individual doing that you are an extorting profiteer. (thats not 'you' personally ifyswi,)0 -

I think so. There will also have been sellers who were carping their pants and hurriedly cancelling their auctions!:rotfl:Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -
I suspect that ebay has finally managed to get a hold of the fault and has pulled all the auctions from being viewed so it can prevent sales lower than sellers 'expectations'.
mmmn have paid for my 'bargains' just hope they get homoured...
Fun though:rotfl:0 -

lizdav, sorry for asking, I've came into this thread after oooh 100 pages :rotfl:What is the background of yourself and Maximouse, how come you know so much/have so much contact with the suppliers?
Maximouse can speak for herself.
Personally, I do operate as an affiliate for just about anything and have made no secret of that and avoided posting my own links .. others can post links if they think valuable.
Just lately my focus has been on GGH and because I bring Character business, they are prepared to share insights with me, which I openly share here.
I have been talking very closely to the e-commerce manager at Character, probably on a daily basis since August when I spotted GGH as a winner long before you folks, to find out what is going on with stock and sharing where permitted to.
HTH .. definitely not seeking to break rules as I completely avoid self-promotion.0
