I see you've had the usual, its in stock, no its not, yes it is, day...:rotfl:

I've just spent the last hour catching up with posts - took my laptop to work but couldn't get online cos I didn't take the installation disk for the dongle - uhhhhhhhhhh, its been a long, long, long, day...

Anyway, hopefully we might see some more houses online later on - i've been in contact with Carol to see if they can give me any guidance on the sort of time frame as you've obviously all been F5ing for England on all sorts of sites today and you must all be shattered. I'll post if / when I get any further info.

those TRU fibbers told me only the other day they'd have no stock till end of november. every time i go into asda there's nothing on shelf and every time i phone, they say they have no idea whats due in and i usually find out that stuff is in stock ten mins after i call. glad i didnt miss out on a ball though- i didnt did i?

I was in Tesco at the Ricoh in Coventry today & they had nothing. I wasn't up early enough for TRU - but now wish I'd tried Asda. Hey ho... we still have a couple of weeks.

trust me, you dont want to wish you lived in coventry nowadays. the best thing about cov is the access to all the lovely motorways that allow you to get out of it :rotfl:

It was all very civilised at Coventry TRU this morning. The guy seems to think it will be the same on Sunday morning - just hamsters. Although it opens at 11.00am it says 10.30am for browsing so I think you will have to be there for about 9.30 at the latest to be in the queue for a hamster.

Thanks for the explanation. Beast me what play's doing either - I too have a long-outstnading (10 days) order for the wheel, and I don't know why they are advertising new ones!

I appreciate that you are a new poster, but that announcement has been explained on at least two occasions by me .... you need to read back to keep up ... so set aside your whole evening!!! :rotfl:

Only kidding ... I will do a quick catchup on that, but people really should read back 24hrs at least. Repeating just makes the thread larger and more difficult for folk to catch up.

Character didn't sell all their stock .. they sold only ~one quarter of what was received for their own stock plus more for other retailers, but with Toys R Us advertising nationally, people expecting Character to list and F5ing and ultimately Toys R Us website crashing in the hamster hunt, then a number of factors (undisclosed to me, but surely what I just said earlier) led them to decide not to list additional stock meantime.

There ARE more deliveries scheduled via air-freight (Hamsters sometime this week and next .. and Accessories the week before Christmas) .. and some of these will end up on other retailers shelves.

Everything except Addon Playsets and Accessories were delivered to Character this week and will be getting distributed to other retailers, but they may have already received and sold those from stock or on back-order basis.

As I mentioned a page or two back in relation to Play orders, the really scarce stock will be Cars, Wheels and Slides ... there are NO Addon orders expected until 2010. If you can't wait then inflated prices seem to be the order of the day; I don't believe any retailer that still hopes to have a back-order fulfilled before Christmas.

I am biased of course and recommend that you use a "Go Go Hamster stock checker" service to look out for new and available to order stock.
