How long do you like to go on holiday for?

Do you like a week, maybe two, or something inbetween?

Is it ever long enough? Do you find it hard to come home and get back into the daily grind when you have had a nice time away?

I think a week is too short, two weeks is too long, and 10 days is just right. Hard to get though, unless you book by yourself, but even then, some flights only fly to/from some destinations on certain days of the week.

Depends on the holiday. An exploring holday in some distant country, I'd generally like 3 weeks. I don't feel 2 weeks is long enough and I don't feel you get over the worries of home until after the 2 week barrier either.

A European break however I wouldn't take longer than a week.

    Depends who im with really,

Myself and the wife can be good for 7 days, as usually by the end were sick of each other (usually me getting drunk, and her moaning at me because i do).

If its with the kids, then maybe 7 days isnt long enough, but any longer and they lose out on school due to travelling in term-time.

To be honest I just get bored of being in the same place doing the same things for too long. I went to Egypt for 10 days before and even there with all the interesting things to do I was getting bored. To stay any longer than 2 weeks I would need a huge amount of activities/excursions etc to keep me occupied. Plus, it's too expensive!

Around 10 nights for a European flop and drop holiday by that I mean somewhere hot and sunny with naff all to do, but relax in the sun, read loads of books and go out for intimate dinners every night.

For an exploring type holiday minimum of 3 weeks.
  • I'm happy with a longer holiday (2 weeks or more) but not in the same place - TBH, even a week in one place can be enough to bore me! We tend to go for multi-destination holidays now (a few days here, a few days there). I must just have a very short attention span I think ;)

As long as possible. It's usually a matter of how much time I have available. In an ideal world, it'd be two years and don't think me and my boyfrined would be falling out too much by then.
