Wow! I've finally made it! lol I've read (during many work lunch breaks) every single post in your diary..
Just wanted to say well done on how far you've come so far (& for clearing those two store cards!).
Hope things go well in your new place & moving goes smoothly
I'll keep checking back but I don't know what I'm going to do with my breaks now! lol:dance: Almost out of debt!! Must start saving!! :dance:0 -
Hi there CAFCGirl,
I'm a 'lurker' who's been avidly reading all your posts!
First of all can I say that you've been really inspiring to me (who was once the queen of squander).
Re your ebay situation, could you ask your bf to help you out with a carboot? I have tons of clothes and find that they go really well (especially if you take one of those portable clothes rails with you). I'm planning on doing one at the end of march and am even going to be selling my coathangers (our house is a veritable breeding ground for them!).
Also, would there be any possibility of taking on a p/t job, even avon or ann summers or a bar /glass collecting job, even for a few weeks/months, just to ease the pressure a bit?????
Good luck and look forward to hearing how you get onNSD November 1/20 :money:
Crap 1, Simple Be, Next, VANQUIS, TESCO, VERY, EMPIRE, ADDITIONS, HALIFAX C/C, HALIFAX LOAN, STUDENT LOAN
Make £10 a day in November £34.57/£450 :eek:0 -
WOW!
I feel like I fell off the earth for two weeks!
I'll be back real soon with more official updates but just wanted to check in to let you all know I haven't fallen into a cardboard box or anything!!
Be back real soon, i hope, when BT finally get themselves in gear!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
And breathe.............
Its been fun going back to work, I feel like I've got a second wind. It was the right time to have a decent break from it, I feel refreshed now.
Another couple of no spenders under my belt.
Completed mystery shop on saturday so should get £15 from that. Also have to return item I had to buy for it as well, so another £7.50 back into account.
Have a cheque to cash £25 the money GE Capital owed me.
Plus I've got to do another trip to go and see old landlord to get my old deposit back, seems to be dragging somewhat, but he promised me tuesday!
Other than that not much else to report in the life of me. Bf has disappointed me slightly with my birthday so I'm now feeling a little bit low about that. We'd had a really good couple of days seeing each other as well so I guess thats annoyed me a bit more too.
Day off tomorrow so aside from return and seeing landlord, should be a fairly relaxed day for meWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Just picked up on this diary - I'm bookmarking and will save as inspiration to dip into. Thanks!!0

Day off for me today and yet again will be going to see the old landlord to go and get my old deposit back.
Return to Gap to do, and pay in cheque.
Small confession to make as well. Im starting to feel a bit low again now. Not sure if it's because my b-day is coming up, or just the bf's behaviour or realising that I'm now on my own, with the new flat...
Although being back at work has helped because I'm somewhere else for 9 hours plus per day, so I have other things to concentrate on. Glad I went back when I did.
Doesn't help that I've got loose ends like with the old deposit that are controlled by someone else, and I feel like I'm twiddling my thumbs.
Also realised that I've got very few friends that I can rely on, or talk to, which is making me feel pretty low too. I was expecting a call last night from my friend that did move in/then moved out etc but she never called.
Plus now it looks like I wont be doing anything to celebrate my birthday....
Really feel like crying right about nowWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Aww Jo. Have been slowly reading through your thread - took me ages but I'm there now! Don't be down. It's spring. It's nice weather. You're doing well. :grouphug:0

Thanks Emmie!
I know I should be thankful, some sunshine, dry weather and my life is by no means as bad as some people's.
I guess I was just on such a high with moving and now it's done, I've deflated a little.
Plus my debt repayments are pretty nominal at the moment, just above minimums, admittedly my debt free date is January 2009, thats still quite a way in my mind, and I'd love for it to be earlier!
Have a feeling sometimes that the world is against me however!
Im sure I'll snap out of it soon..... can't let myself wallow for too long!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
First things first!
Get that DF Date into 2008! (Small steps)
(((((HUGS))))) for feeling down. I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere fast at the mo either!
