Hi
Can I just pop in to say how much I have enjoyed reading your diary over the past 2 nights. Having had my LBM quite recently it lead to me finding this site and the wonderfull people and advice given out.
I do not live that far from Canterbury (12 miles or so) and it was nice to know most of the shops and places that you mentioned.
Hope everthing is going OK.

Ahhhh Hi Yellow Monkey.
Nice to have another local on the boards...
Glad you've found the site and hope you get lots out of it.
Theres some fantastic tips for reducing your outgoings and the support network is unbelievable, I wouldnt be where I am today without it, I'd just have continued in the spiral, I'm convinced of it!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Oh dear oh dear!
I have been very naughty.
I've neglected my poor little diary (well 74 pager actually!) since the Lent thread and now the Unneccesary Challenge.
I'm off to work in another shop this weekend, setting it up etc etc.
But I've made a promise to myself that when I come back I'm going to have to really get my stuff together and get re-focused on paying off my debts!
I feel like even though I've had the challenges going on I still havent impacted on my debts as much as I would have liked to!
So come next tuesday I'll be back here with the second coming of CAFCGirl and anyone who remembers me or has had the joy of reading this diary lol might pop back with some advice and general helpfulness!
I'll be posting a whole new SOA so could really do with the help
Thanks all and see you next week xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -

It just seems to get swallowed up by something else like phone or electric bill.
Those are other areas Im really going to be needing some serious help on too.
Dont think I truly realised that by increasing my rent, dept payments staying the same (overpayments) I would have to reign in what I physically soend/use quite so much! I know I knew it, I just dont think it necessarily equated in my head.
It all feels a bit stagnant if Im honest, and I need to feel like I'm making progress in some way!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFCGirl, I look forward to following your thread again, I've missed it. You've made so many friends with your challenges I'm sure you'll get loads of good advice and encouragement. Good luck at the new shop and I can't wait to see you back here again.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Awwww it's nice to know I've got fans
Always make me feel so much better to feel like I'm actually talking to real live people xx
I'm still feeling quite up and down, even after last years episode and money issues never help, although Im not convinced they are the cause.
At least this weekend, even though I'll be staying in West London with the money people surrounding me, I'll have some time to myself in the evenings to think about a few things, number crunch etc.
I'm hoping to come back with some renewed confidence in myself as well as some new ideas for what changes I can make.... Although my debt free date is still only 2 years away, at this age and stage in life that feels like a lifetime to me!
Just trying to think to the days when my debts are only 3 figures and not 4, then I'll be much happier!Wealth is not measured by currency0
