[quote=[Deleted User];25998479]Cracking post. Poor spelling and no sentences....

Cheap shot and what purpose does it acheive.
OP if the dog was frightened that makes it slightly excusable, but with young children then it is hard. I hope someone comes along soon who can help with Staffie rescue.
Good luck.0 -

manytears.co.uk will try and help you there is also a rescue that specializes in your breed of dog if you search the internet.
But manytears.co.uk is your best option.0 -
She didn't say she just didn't want it.
The use of the words "get rid" implies she doesn't care that much.
OP - did it not occur to you that with two children under the age of two, getting a young Staffie might not be such a good idea? And now you want the RSPCA to take it off your hands.
It's because of irresponsible pet owners like yourself that their shelters are full to bursting.0 -
Apologies for having a dig at the spelling. Sorry....
However, I still think geri1965 has got a good point....0 -
The RSCPA won't take dogs especially ones that have bitten people because of the diffculty in rehoming a dog like that. The fact that its a Staff also makes it much harder to rehome beacause rehoming centres are full of them.
Your local council Dog Warden may take the dog of your hands if its unwanted but to be honest where its bitten someone they will probably have it put down.
You could try a smaller rescue who will be more likely to take it or is there not any friends and family? I am sure its a lovely dog but the fact its bitten someone makes it much harder for anyone to take it and the fact its a Staff sadly makes it even harder for anyone to take it.
I can appericate why you don't want the dog around your kids but to be fair it sounds like it didn't bite you on purpose and you said it bit you badly but then it just grazed you? No dog should be left alone with kids however friendly they are. Maybe its worth seeing if someone can look after the dog for a while to see if it was just a one off and take it back. I can appericate why you wouldn't want it back but I think maybe your being a bit unfair on the dog if it was just because of something someone did to it.0 -

I don't think she is irresponsible just misinformed and naive. Also I think its a bit unfair to judge when she hasn't given any background to how/why she got the dog in the first place. At least let her tell you something bad before you criticise her.0
