***Baza52*** Yes I could do it that way....maybe its just the idea of walking into Blackheath to get the train, about one and a half miles, also having to walk, a woman alone in the dark in the winter, though the Ferrier Estate across Castor bridge estate, is what doesn't really appeal to me....I happen to think my security would be put at risk, but lets say I managed it....so train leaves Blackheath at 5.42 arrives about Victoria was it,? although couldn't see Victoria on the time table, half an hour to Paddington, (so the timetable tells me) so now the time is what?...6.50am if I am luck, and I still have to get to the job, and thats without any cancelled trains, hold ups...so 2 hours, each way = 4 hours at least a day, for lets say £220 a week, less tax, NI, £25 fares, lunches, rent/council tax, wouldn't have much left for food would I? having said that. it would be more than I am getting now...:rotfl:Lilly0

The only thing is they haven't got my appeal letter yet, she supects because of the post strike!!! the guy at the Job centre wouldn't take it, and I had to post it on Monday last.
...
But at least I will have TWO WHOLE weeks money on Monday, and I will be able to eat.....
I am so please, thank you so much for the advise, I am guessing my claim must be back on track now, and I just need to wait for the appeal and write to the Secretary of state for DWP with my complaint.:D
Also keep my fingers cross that I hear about my job applications that I have send off this week......

Well done sounds like it is back on track, I would do a similar call in 2 weeks time after you sign again to check.
Your appeal is yours to keep chasing I would expect the JC to take a letter and put it in the internal post for you.0 -

So pleased that I rung them.....I will ring them again next week, to check on my appeal as well....I did ask the guy at Job centre to take the appeal form along with the reclaim form, but he said nope put it in the letter box, even though we are having problems with the post.
But at least money is on its way....and I can eat, and get the strenght to fight my case, she really was a awful 'kid' that stopped my claim....a kid....!!!
Do they not understand the stress that they put people though, she really needs taking to task, anyway that will be part two of my story, so watch this space..many thanks again for your help....:T.

Sorry but have they closed or suspended your claim?
If suspended they have to give you a reason why.
The only way the'lady' could of suspended it was if you ahdn't taken enough steps to look for work. You would have completed a sheet detailing exactly what steps you took in tha last 2 weeks which would then go direct to a decision maker, claim is suspended whilst this happens but usually a few days max then you you are either allowed then paid or disallowed.
Other option was the course you have started is it more than 16 hours? similar process, what form exactly did you complete?
Your claim cannot just be closed as long as you have attended every two weeks.0 -

many thanks for you help, it has now been sorted, I was without money for 4 weeks, she said it was supended...and was to await a
decision for 'Bromley', which I thought was odd as Londonderry deals with my claim, anyway, after 10 ten days I rung Londonderry and a very nice lady told me , No, thats not right, you have to do a reclaim form and to get it back dated an Appeal form, so next day, I pick these forms up (it was a friday) filled them in, and returned them on the Monday, a week later I received my money in my bank account, (I had signed on in between this, and nothing was mentioned about my being supended) the fact is I was without any money for 4 weeks, it was a nightmare....it was only because I rung Londonderry and many thanks to this thread that I got my money.....a very strong letter of complaint is winging it way to the Secretary of State for DWP, as to just cut of peoples money with no warning or investigation is totally unacceptable...
The letter that I received fron Londonderry, said my money was supended as there was 'doubt' in my claim, but that 'doubt' had now been removed..!!!
I had filled in my job search sheet, applied for jobs and send 'spec' letters, there was nothing else I could have done during those to weeks...the Advistor was a totally waste of space, and was to busy talking on her Mobile phone (personal call) !!! to inverview or listen to me.... oh, no reason at the time was given...I didn't even know I was being supended, until I spoke to another lady in the job centre....who told me to sign on in two weeks time because at least I would get my stamp paid!!! I have more than enough stamps to get a pension, but I did anyway, and received two weeks money the following week.....so glad I did.....many thanks Lilly0 -
You can appeal the decision that suspended your benefit, and if you are unhappy about the staff member that saw you, then you can make a formal complaint.
I would do both.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
