Any one tryed blagging calor?
I phoned them up asking how much thier lpg was for central heating they said 63 each when i said that alot any reason because my other supplier charges 45 each, she said dont think we can match that please hold one sec, the as if by magic they droped the price by £18! might be worth saying lower than 450 -
Excellent tip from Chattbucks. I tried a few postcodes around the south besides my own and the price always came out at £46.77, so I'd suggest no-one should be paying more than that.
In fact, for me, Countrywide quoted £40.46 incl. VAT, which Flogas promptly matched, giving me a good result for not much effort. Wish I'd done it sooner...0 -

Hi
We now use this and it is a nightmare! We pay £90 for 2 big bottles delivered. When I questioned how much of this the average house requires, I was told 2 bottles should last 10 days! Jeez! We do 2 in about 15 days.0 -
2 * 47 kg bottles holds the equivalent of about 1300 kw.
Say 90% efficient boiler, gets you 1170 kw of heat.
At £90, that is costing you 7.7 p / kwh
some people are paying nearer £50 per bottle. That works out it costs you 8.5 p / kwh.
They have become rather expensive.
Some mains electric tariffs are around 8p for Tier 2 units.
If you have no mains gas, you need oil or an ASHP system.
But where will oil prices go?0
