Have you tried yourself?0 -
Excuse me?
You are an arrogant little man who seems to have an issue with a company (Not just one, You would have an issue if they changed their name!) and me! I have plenty of friends thank you very much! All because they aren't lyca or Lebara mobile, come on love, if you want to use them! pay for them!
I hope you grow up
Edit: To everyone else, I appologise for my outburst
Jill, I'm not sure why you are defending Vectone so strongly. It's just one company amongst many. The public has a right to know which companies are trustworthy, and which ones are likely to rip them off. It just so happens that Vectone's business model seems to be based on making additional income out of "hidden charges". All I am doing here is trying to find out what those "hidden charges" are, so that the public is able to make an informed choice about which Mobile Service Provider to use in order to get the best value for money.
If you read my previous posts, you will discover that I'm just trying to find out the truth about Vectone. If this makes you angry, then that's not my problem.0 -
Jill isn't defending Vectone so strongly.
Her last post was entirely about your sneering personal put-down that was nothing to with the subject at all.
What isn't clear at all is why you're attacking the company so much for a set of terms and conditions that are broadly similar to many brands, without demonstrating any empirical evidence of having actually used it for phone calls, especially not your assertion of call rates over £2 a minute to UK freephone and other 08 numbers, which has never been reported by anybody else0 -
I have a Lebara SIM that I use occasionally.
I have about a £1 left on it but it doesn't work anymore and when I try to get a balance that doesn't work anymore.
Have they gone belly up ????0 -

I'm sorry to learn about your Lebara SIM not working. When was the last time you made a chargeable call? If it was more than 80 days ago, then your SIM may have "expired".
From Lebara's Terms and Conditions:10. TerminationIf you were using your SIM to make chargeable calls until quite recently (less than 80 days ago), but then it suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason, maybe there's a technical fault with the SIM itself.
10.1 If you do not use the Services for a period of 80 days, then this agreement will terminate automatically and shall be deemed terminated by you. Non-usage shall mean that you have not made a chargeable outgoing call for a continuous period of 80 days. You shall be entitled to terminate this agreement at any time by informing Lebara Mobile. Upon termination for whatever reason, you are not entitled to a refund of any call credit that is on your phone at the date of termination.
In that case, the following trick sometimes works: Ask a friend if their phone is unlocked (works on any network). If it is, ask if you can try using your Lebara SIM from their phone. If it works from their phone, try putting it back into your phone. Most times, this will solve the problem, and the SIM will start working again.
If you've tried that, and your SIM still doesn't work, then I suggest sending it back to Lebara. Enclose a letter of explanation, giving them the phone number of the SIM. Tell them when you last used it, when it stopped working, and how much credit is remaining. They seem like a decent company, so I expect that you'll get a positive response from them. Their address is:Customer CareYou can also contact them by phone or email. I can't post any working links here, but their website address is: www_lebara-mobile_co_uk

Thanks for that.
I think it may be 80 days since I used it.0 -
Vectone: I have used it. The call quality to call abroad is awful. Absolutely awful. What a waste of a fiver. Stay away from vectone.0

My brother has been using Lebara for about a month now and quite happy with it - he only needs it for international calling (secondary cheap phone with a new number which remains at home).
For international texting - he has a vodafone contract phone (that he takes with him everywhere) and that has internet allowance on it. Installed fishtext on it and he can make international text via fishtext for just 1p a text.

Can't see on their website what you have to do to get the Vectone Mobile rate rather than the Vectone Mobile Plus rate - anyone know?
http://www.vectonemobile.co.uk/tariffs/national_rates.aspx
Also seems strange that the plus tariff is worst than the 'non-plus'
2nd Q - anyone know what network Vectone is on?
Thanks0
