HSBC have called us to say that they want us to pay 2 months credit card bill. We said we cant pay the one so how are we supposed to pay for 2? Are they on a different planet or what?
They also demanded the £100 hubby has in his savings account, this is already taken and we told them that, then they said that there was £52 in our daughters account and they wanted that too. I wish they woul talk directly to me cos i would give them such an ear bashing.
They can't have her money cos it's her money.0 -
yeah, i know, but they still wanted it!
i read the link you gave me about reclaiming the charges, please forgive my ignorance but i am not entirely sure what to do. I find all banking stuff and numbers confusing to say the least. It takes me out of my comfort zone and its something i have never had to deal with before0 -

i am so angry ...................... the bank sent us a letter to say that they had taken £100 from my husbands savings account. They had called us twice before that and he said no they cant have it as it is taken ( for MOT and car tax) but they took it, i was fuming, they said that it was bank policy to do so. I am more than angry about this.0

The right of set off they have used. I would get an account unconnected to the bank that you are with to keep some money aside if need be.holisticmaria wrote: »i am so angry ...................... the bank sent us a letter to say that they had taken £100 from my husbands savings account. we have opened up an account with alliance and leicester and intend to put his wages into it then redirect the direct debits into it too.
I cant believe how terrible HSBC have been, they have got us into debt!0 -
can you help me with this please? ...................
national debt line has sent us some info. To start with, what is an IVA? Is it worth doing or do you advise us not to?0 -
InVoluntary Arrangement. I can't advice whether to do so or not to do so. It might be worth posting on the debt part of the forum who would be better to advise on.holisticmaria wrote: »can you help me with this please? ...................

ok, thank you :T
I think the main objective for us now is to claim back the charges.0 -
I am confused now. I have dealt with the cccs, they have given us advice and told us what to do next. The problem i am having is with the bank charges. They said that we had to do this ourselves, however, i have been looking at all the info, all the links and downloads and i am overwhelmed with it all and not sure which one i should be sending.0
