New tv-will box still work?

Did you check (a) the fuse, (b) if the mains cable is detachable, is it properly inserted into the back panel socket and (c) is there an on/off switch on the back and if so, is it on?
Thanks for the reply!:D
(a) No, first try no lights came on but it was making a sound like the hard drive was booting up but nothing happend. Plugged it in elsewhere to try-no noise, no nothing!
(b) Yes & yes.
(c) Searched all over looking for a power switch or reset button, but no go. Pressing the power button at the front made no difference, as did pressing ALL the buttons on the front!

There are discussions here (http://www.fixya.com/support/t807417-thomson_dti6300_16_digital_tv_recorder) about a number of options to get the box working again but with some of them you will lose your data.0
