well was brave and phoned them ! just said it would go up to £14.99 a month ! phone back aweek before the expire date 22nd november to see....talk talk realy funny rang me ..out of the blue to offer me there deal £6.49 +line rentral ..free local calls ect...oooooo very tempted now ..(did they know was going )
This morning I rang BT and asked what was the best they could offer me ...and she came up with £12.37 per month and it was all arranged to start today (as, purely by chance, my 18 month contract £14.97 p.m. ended today )
I then read above post and was not happy so rang them . Initially the reaction was 'well the new contract has started' but I pointed out that I had asked what was the best offer at the moment and read this post out and asked why had I not been offered this .
Lovely girl who was answering my call went off and came back to say that they could reduce my BB to £7.33 .
So thank you for your post and thank you BT for dealing with my query and coming to a satisfactory conclusion .Without the rain you wouldn't have the rainbows !
I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left!0 -

What sort of lines are drawn here by the forum owners? BT shouldn't be parashuting into potential sales threads IMO.Bt broadband ending soon what option do i have ?
The OP essentially gave business to BT after their intervention. I don't see that as 'help' in the traditional sense. The OP could easily of moved suppliers.
I've never been comfortable with reps here because they don't see the line between selling and helping. I'm not blaming the individual reps.0 -
Hi there, thank you for your feedback. I would just like to point out that our purpose on this forum is not to try and sell. We pick up customers who have mentioned BT and offer help and advice. In this case, Blackpaw was considering their broadband options and we simply gave what BT could offer them at this time. Blackpaw than chose to take up this offer rather than move service providers. I am sorry if this was how you interpreted our intervention but can assure you this was not our intentions.“Official Company Representative

That is entirely sales.
My front door has a sign on it that says NO SALES. I had a guy at it the other night (7pm) from Hydro Electric and I tore a strip off him and asked why he thought he should still chap my door. He said he was "Trying to save me money". Someone's paying him to stand there = sales.
This isn't a BT Sales Forum or AFAIK a place where BT can sell their services. That would be a corruption of a consumer board.0 -
Hi BT,
Well i for one appreciate companies coming here and sorting problems and sorting deals for us.
Many thanks BT! (I only wish all companies would offer this in-depth approach)
Anyway, for BT.........................
I have been with freeserve. wanadoo and now orange for many, many years, but for almost a year now i have been having problems with gaming on an evening and am so looking to change providers.
I am on the BB max package, unlimited downloads, and wish to keep a max package. £19.99 per month.
LN4 postcode area.
Could you tell me what the bst deal is you could do for me?0 -
