Has anyone got any experience of either parcel2ship or couirerpoint.com? I need a quote to send a 18kg 100x40x40cm parcel to France and these seem to cheapest or can anyone suggest a company to use (i've used parcel monkey and parcels2go quite a bit recently but too expensive for sending this size abroad) . Thanks0

I will contact john lewis in the morning to see where i stand.
I apologize for my first answer to your question if it offended you.
Let me re answer the question.
Carrier insurance regarding glass or tv's has been answered many times within this thread. (glass is never covered by anyone)
Parcel Monkey make it clear on their website that tv's are not covered by their insurance.
Your warranty with John Lewis will cover normal use (it is not normal to send your tv via a courier)
Your warranty is not transferable to the new owner.Any advice I give on these forums is my own opinion only, and is what I would do in your situation or, what I have done in the past, please do not slate me for offering what I see as "sound" advice.ThanksDavewinston0 -
Hi Kate1,
Just checked postagesupermarket (I have previously used them), your parcel to france is coming out at about £37.00. Hope this helps.
Also they are offering a drop off service at the Post Office for international parcels. Anyone seen this before? And does it actually work????0 -

Would not use them myself,
This is taken from their website.
Q. I placed my order 2 hours ago and still have no email with dockets attached?
A. Your email with your documents attached will always be sent to you within 12 hours of you making your order on weekdays, and 48 hours if ordering at weekends or bank holidays

Thanks for the advice! Have used Postagesupermarket a few times and always had my dockets in minutes. Guess they maybe put this to cover themselves for weekends maybe?
Have also used other cheap postage sites, and they all work differently. The thing I like about Postagesupermarket is the fact that you can speak to them on the phone.
Still not sure about this drop off service though. has anyone used it?:o;);)

Their are other reasons why i would not use them,
1) They are expensive.
2) You joined on Sat last and have only posted 4 posts all about them.
3) The address shown on the website is for a car parts supplier & a food supplier.
4) They only have bad reviews on http://www.trustpilot.com (not counting the last one as it was made by someone in Dover where you, opps they are based.Any advice I give on these forums is my own opinion only, and is what I would do in your situation or, what I have done in the past, please do not slate me for offering what I see as "sound" advice.ThanksDavewinston0 -

I havent used postagesupermarket but i think there is or was some connection with Bananadoo that i used to use a long time ago. Bananadoo where OK and well established but they became uncompetitive against the newer arrivals on the scene. Bananadoo sent you a supply of blank waybills for all the couriers that you completed yourself, phoned up the courier yourself and made your own collection arrangments using their account number then they sent you a monthly invoice that they took by direct debit from your bank account. Sounds cumbersome now but it worked well and you knew the order had been placed and you were in control and direct contact with DHL ,UPS etc. .0 -

Never used Bananadoo, but Bananadoo.net does redirect to the postage supermarket and their websites are both registered to the same guy who is the Director of BRITSTORE LIMITED which trade form the same address,so well done & thanks to KaysterAny advice I give on these forums is my own opinion only, and is what I would do in your situation or, what I have done in the past, please do not slate me for offering what I see as "sound" advice.ThanksDavewinston0
