Hello,
I'm currently spending about £10 a week on Orange PAYG - is there anything cheaper - I send about 6 texts a day, about 15 mins on phone a day (if that), and wonder if it's worth going on a contract.
Thanks
FF

15 minutes a day translates to over 400 minutes a month; you would definitely save money by taking up a contract. You're currently spending at least £40 a month if I'm calculating correctly, and if you took up a high minutes plan like Flext or O2 Online 500 you would have more than enough inclusive minutes for your needs. I think FlexT would suit you better since you're also sending almost 200 texts a month.
Find a good cashback deal (or sometimes the networks have half price line rentals deals direct from their shops - this is hassle-free) and you'll probably save even more.0 -
You may be able to make on a 12 month 3 contract - your figures work out at 180 texts per month & 450 minutes, so a VTT1100 contract with 400 texts & 600 minutes from coolnewmobile should be free for the year (if you claim correctly, they don't squirm out of paying & last a year) with £30+ cash back (topcashback.co.uk or quidco). If you don't want to risk CNM, look at the CPW pricematch thread & give that a bash.

Hi felinefancy
If you are paying £40 a month (variable), then Utility Warehouse do an £8 a month and 8p a minute (minimum call charge 5.9p), no minimum contract deal and you only pay for what you use.
Better value than Orange PAYG if your call rates are 15p minimum and you use more than 115 minutes a month (less than 4 minutes a day) and better value if your texts are 10p each.
All the best

Thank you for all the replies. I am somewhat of a newbie mobile user but very aware that i'm using my phone frequently and obviously not getting the best deal. What is Flext? Is there a website for it - see, said I was a newbie!!!
Thanks for all the help - didn't realise mobiles were such a minefield!
