When exactly do the Jobcentre check the reason that you left previous job???!

So basically to answer you question, when you make your claim you will be asked why you are no longer working. You can say you left then fill in all the forms and they will then write to the employer and then make a decision. if employer states you were sacked then they will keep writing to either party till they have all the information then decide if you had good cause to leave.
if you say you were sacked they will write to the employer and ask why. They then reply and agree and give reason why or they will say no you left then you will be asked why. Again a decision will then be made. So either say tell the truth. If you has good cause for leaving or if you were sacked through no fault of your own you have nothing to worry about.
You will be paid benefit whilst the decision is being made provided you are entitled but they may sanction further payments.

Does anyone know how long after making your claim for jsa and after having your 1st sign-on interview when you give them all the documents,
does it take till they will have written to your previous employer and asked if you resigned from your last job or were fired??
They get both your reasons and the employers version of events and then submit the papers to the decision makers.
Depending on how large the DMs caseload is they will get around to it after a period of time. If it appears that you left voluntarily they will write to you, if it appears that you were dismissed they will write to your employer. If you do not reply (LV) you will be sanctioned, if the employer does not reply (misconduct) you will not be sanctioned. If there is something missing from the paperwork it will all be returned to the jobcentre and everything goes back to square one.
I'm not being pedantic (honestly) but I want to comment on the previous post, if you leave voluntarily you must show just cause, not good cause - there is a very big, very significant difference.0 -

Just a little joke referring to something someone said last night.
Obviously made by someone who isn't employer by the DWP and not aware of the glacial progression up the spine rate and the 3 year below inflation pay deal that has just expired. not to mention the deplorable working environment. I could go on but you get the picture.0 -
Dookar
Just cause is justifying that you had a good cause. Don't try to patronise, this is the internet.0
