EGG - Letters sent, no response

Hi All,
I know this isn't part of the same subject but i was wondering if anyone can advise how I ight go about getting information regarding an old credit card from MBNA? I was think following my earlier post I should just send them a SAR letter but unfortunately I don't have the account number anymore! I am certain that this credit card had PP and at one point a balance a nearly £5k which I managed over time to pay off but again I wonder just how much I was paying for the PPI. Any suggestions would be great.
Also spoke to FOS regarding the request from Egg regarding the CCA Credit Agreement and they advise they would contact Egg directly requesting the same information. Has anyone else had this happen or do I still contact Egg?
Many thankks,
Longword
Hi Longword
Hope your well.
I would suggest that you give them as many details as you can in regards of the SAR request, any old addresses if you were at another address at the time of taking this out, also write your date of birth, and any different surnames etc.
So I take it you have no old statements (monthly statements)? where the account numbers are shown, or it may be worth requesting for a credit report from, these may show the details, google in Experian, or Equifax etc, they charge about £2 - I think its that amount.
If you still have hold of the old credit cards the account number should be on them.
But other than that, it will be the first option by giving them as many details as possible.
So the FOS confirmed that they are writing to EGG on your behalf did they?
If your not certain then contact them to make sure, if they are not doing this then yes do write to EGG, or/and make sure with the FOS if you need to write a letter as well, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

the secret was luck, this place and a little bit of persistance. As the thread shows i got no reply from Egg was wasnt put off. Since filing the complaint using their online messaging system they sorted everything in a matter of weeks. Still surprised but eagerly waiting for a cheque. Could be better timing with my first baby due on christmas eve.0
