Thank you.
I will use the SAR template.
I will let you know the outcome, but I feel I may get a shock when I see how much the PPI has cost me over the years.
Thank you again.

Hi, I have sent two separate claims letters over the last two years and I did eventually get a response from them but they have still declined to pay me back the PPI that I was mis-sold. They did send me a CD of the conversation I had with one of their Egg people as I couldn't remember taking out PPI as it appeared on my account about 2 years after opening my credit card with them. From listening to the CD it appears I rang in to report I had lost my card and could they send me a new one. After taking all the details she then said she would add PPI on for me free of charge for 6 months as a kind of 'goodwill gesture' - in the way she said it to me which of course I said OK to. Very clever of them cos then you have to opt out in 6 months time by which time I had forgotten all about it! I did eventually cancel it when it became clear on my statements that I was still paying it, but they refuse to accept it was mis-sold! I don't know if anyone has had any success with Egg in claiming this back so not sure whether to still pursue this or not?0

Hi there
It seems that they did not actually explain this, and it was a catch to sound good "to add the ppi on free for 6 months", bet they did not even explain the full policy though did they? or on the recordings?
I would keep on at them until you receive a final decision, the final response should enclose the details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can then go to them if your not happy with the final outcome.
I believe you should reclaim all you have paid in PPI and any interest etc, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi, thanks for your reply. I think I will now take this to the ombudsman as I feel they have had enough out of me over the years 'illegally' and it's time to get back what's rightfully mine. At least I have the CD to present as evidence. Will keep you all posted.0 -

I agree.
Fingers crossed for you and we look forward to hearing the outcome on this, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Well done you! You have given me renewed spirit to get back to them about my claim but this time I think I will go via the ombudsman as Egg don't seem to be taking my claim seriously enough. What's your secret to success?0 -
Hi All,
I know this isn't part of the same subject but i was wondering if anyone can advise how I ight go about getting information regarding an old credit card from MBNA? I was think following my earlier post I should just send them a SAR letter but unfortunately I don't have the account number anymore! I am certain that this credit card had PP and at one point a balance a nearly £5k which I managed over time to pay off but again I wonder just how much I was paying for the PPI. Any suggestions would be great.
Also spoke to FOS regarding the request from Egg regarding the CCA Credit Agreement and they advise they would contact Egg directly requesting the same information. Has anyone else had this happen or do I still contact Egg?
Many thankks,
Longword0
