  • Hi all, any help would be appreciated. I reveived a parking whilst I was at college for not displaying a valid permit.

I did have a permit but my usual car had gone in for repairs, so I took thye permit out and displayed it in the courtesy car. When I went to get my car back I took the permit out of the courtesy car and put it with my college work with the intention of putting it back in my usual car when it was returned to me.

However, on the day in question I forgot to display the permit. When i went back to my car at lunch time I noticed the fine on the windscreen. I immediately went and gor the permit and displayed it.

I wrote to the company explaining the above and they declined.

I have since ignored all other correspondence. I have since received threatening letters about baliffs etc.

Today I received a letter from Graham White solicitors 'Notice of intended litigation'...the basis of the letter is I have to pay £207.25, made up of the parking fine, claim issue fee, solicitors costs, judegment costs, warrant issue.

I'm in the mind of writing back to the solicitors saying take me to court on the grounds that I was at college ligitimately, there was 2 parking notice signs (one of which was completely vandalised), there was no signage to the entrance of the car park (clearly not enough signage) and I has a permit to park although admittedly this was not displayed for the reasons outlined aboth.

By the way the college refused to help (Wirral Met College, Eastham) that is.....

    Any advice?

    Cheers

Just ignore these cowboys "Graham White solicitors" are actually Roxburgh Debt collectors pretending to be a solicitor. They are well known on here and all those "threats " is just meaningless drivel.

And finally, this is not a FINE, it's an unenforceable invoice.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Carry on ignoring. Your legal argument misses why the charge is unenforceable. Don't communicate with them.

That letter alone should tell you this is all a SCAM , a BLUFF, a LIE !!!

Claim issue fee ? But they have not issued a claim ..FRAUD

Solicitors costs ? What for Roxburgh debt collectors pretending to be Solicitors and sending you a couple of templated letters ? FRAUD

Judgement costs ? There is no judgement .FRAUD

Warrant costs ? What warrant ? FRAUD

    IGNORE THESE LIEING TOERAGS

Total damages suffered by the landowner (which I assume is the college) is zero. Ignore the PPC and the empty threats. I have more chance of winning the Euromillions tonight than the PPC taking you to court (and successfully winning), and I'm not even buying a ticket
  • I have a dispute over a parking ticket when is ongoing with Apcoa but I have just been contacted by Roxburgh BY MY MOBILE. Is this legal or just plain intimidation tactics??? am I within my right to ask for only written correspondence (which I will duly ignore)
  • Intimidation is the name of the game with these scumbags. Mobile numbers are easy to obtain by a variety of sources. Let them waste their money contaqcting you and ignore them.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

  • I've gone through the exact same thing, ticket, letters, debt recovery agency all ignored after reading this forum. I now have a letter from geoffreyparkerbourne solicitors who have "been instructed to consider the instigation of legal proceedings to recover the sum due"
I take it the advice is the same - ignore
