elkyelky i think you r reffering to me earlier on in the thread, and yes it is true that i got just over 10k and spent it all living the life, yes i stayed in 5 star hotels and yes i had lovely holidays, i even got a hosptiality place at a top football match which was very good fun, and yes i will do it again if i get the chance in 6 years time when my defaults r removed :) i think your jealous off me, lets be honest everyone who is in big debt has done the same as me only spending it on other things like shopping and heating etc, i spent all mines on things i enjoyed and loved every min of it, i just wish that i had of blowing another 4k before they cut my credit limits down to £400 and £250 on the other credit cards i have, by the way if i keep these cards for the next 6 years and pay them off ok will that make my credit report look better in 6 years time and give me a better chance of getting a higher credit limit in 6 years so i can do it all again :)

no signed cca means no permission to share data under the data protection act
so any default registered can be removed as they dont have the legal right to use your data

According to the ICO, who I spoke to last week regarding O2 not having written or verbal consent to share my data, they advised that this requirement is irrelevant as long as the data sharer is complying with some of the other requirements of the data protection act when sharing data about the data subject.

She re-iterrated this when I advised that O2 did not issue a default notice, confirmed that they did not have my written or verbal consent to share data, and that O2 also admitted that most of the default balance was present due to fraud but that they feel the data is accurate because I shouldn't have used my pets name on the account as the password.

A question which they suggested by the way.

Unfortunately the ICO don't seem very interested in ensuring our data is treated with the care and respect it deserves, rather only finding whatever excuses they can as quickly as possible to remove any responsibiltiy or blame from a comglomerate data sharer.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

If you think you are going to get any respect on these forums for comments like this you are sorely mistaken.

I think your actions and behaviour are absolutely appauling and I'm sure others would agree wholeheartedly, and I am quite happy to +1 to the suggestion that it is people like you that put this country in a credit crunch nightmare in the first place.

You should be aware that your actions constitute criminal fraud and you are liable to fines which can be taken out of your pay, inprisonment, and a court order prohibiting you from holding financial accounts with any bank, building society, or creditor.

Borrowing money, be it 10P or £10K from a lender, agreeing to pay it back, with no intention of doing so is clearly CRIMINAL FRAUD.

I hope the authorities read your post and order the operators of Moneysavingexpert.com to disclose your personal details and prosecute you to the full extent of the law.

Were you referring to me? What did I do wrong? I was just sharing a personal experience.

izools people like me who cause the credit crunch? wise up, i think you'll find it was bankers greed, and no i didn't take out the money with the sole puropse of never paying it back, i had the credit cards for years which i paid off over the years, but when i lost my job and suffered depression my depression made me go on a spending spree, i am classed as having a mental condition so if the banks want to do me then let them :) they know where i live haha hoho hehe ;)

6 years ruined credit for 10K? That equates to about £1,700 per year.

Hardly what I'd call either living the high life, nor worth it. Certainly nothing to be 'jealous' of.

If you're referring to the credit companies reporting your defaults to the credit reference agencies, when you think they shouldn't be able to, it would appear your data is being treated with exactly the sort of care and respect it deserves.

YMMV, of course, and I suspect it does.

well i don't need credit for much over the next few years anyway, i've already got a nice mobile phone contract, i've still got 2 credit cards, and a few other credit things so i won't be needing credit anyway :) over 6 years it might not seem like much but if someone was to give u 10k over the next 6 years i doubt many would say no :D
