Palm Pre is out on Friday only on O2 with the same price and tariff as the iPhone 3G. Does have or will have all of the required features.0

The Palm pre was the first one I was looking at but there doesn't seem to be a definate decision on whether it's getting flash and the camera on the Nokia is better. Good job I've got til Jan to decide!
Thanks for all your replies :-)0 -
I think the Nokia E72 might have a flash player (it's out soon)0

That one looks good but I think I prefer the touchscreen of the N900. Thanks though-might change my mind !! Will depend on cost as well.0

Every choice always comes down to cost. Even if somethings not very good - you'll buy it if it's very cheap.
Since you've come from and iPhone. The choices for you are either Android phones OR Nokia N900.
This means, Tmobile pulse, HTC Tattoo, HTC Hero,, Nokia N900 (from least expensive to most expensive). Make a choice between these four and you'll be fine.
(Would not recommend HTC Magic as it has much less RAM which makes it slower - unless you get a generic unbranded one which has 288mb of RAM.)0 -
if it helps here's an early beat of the n900 playing quake3

The n900 is going to be a serious hacker toy but I suspect it will have less polish than you are used to with the iphone.0 -

it can run on the N95 8GB which is almost 2 years old now.0 -
Looks good thanks! A relative has the N95 and is happy with it so think I will give the N900 a try. I take your point about the polish but I'll happily sacrifice that for the benefit of not having to sync with stupid Itunes- it always has some fault or other.
The last Nokia I owned was a 3210!!0 -

Put it this way, I KNOW i'm going to buy it. It's the only phone that can replace my N95 8GB, because of the camera, larger display, GPS and graphics card.
My N95 is way better than the iphone, it does everything very well except web browsing.0 -
Just to make the small point that the Pre IS definately getting Flash, and has already been shown running three instances of Flash at the same time.0
