Where was it you went? I 'lost' a few days last week and missed what everyone was up to!

Just called the red cross about a temporary chair for DH until we can sort the NHS one....they said they'd need a "donation" of £35....bit steep considering we've not had any benefits through yet....have told them I've got £20 in the house so it's that or nothing...it's not that I don't want to donate but I just can't afford it.

Sal - Whens the closing date for the job?

Its tomorrow Pooky..but it was only advertised last wednesday so short closing date as post is due to start after half term (3 weeks) and they have to interview in the next week. Nothing like leaving it to the last min is there!

  • I'm back from the Jobcentre. As predicted they cannot fill in 2 lines on a form without a fuss. I have had to leave it there and they will post it back. That means I can't get my accountant to sign it until then.

Popped into Specsavers as they are nagging me to retest. I get a free test and generous allowance towards specs. And they are doing free varifocals. Booked in for tomorrow.

Pooky, how long will it be until you can get an NHS chair?

Whaaaat?- they really are carp. Hopefully you have some money coming in now though? I know it's not great but things do seem to be moving - just at a ridiculously slow rate.
I just want to throttle them for you - although it's possibly not their fault the system is so rubbish.
Have you applied for a crisis loan? and did you find out if they were allowed to take money off your jobseekers for the mortage payment thing.
    Hugs to you.

    Morning
Need some help please, Bookie may know this! What is the system called that is used in libraries?
The one where you have, for example, Section 2 is History then 2.2 might be English History, then 2.22 World War.
    HELP!
