Yes, and it runs hot enough to fry an egg on, some folk seem to like them (O2 routers and eggs) but I'm sticking with my Netgear 834PN, it's quicker wireless and gives better range, no good for frying eggs on though..
Can I use the black wireless Netgear router that I got from Sky last year on my 02 connection? Is it better/faster than 02's 'Thomson' router?Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -

Only if you are prepared to flash it with Netgear firmware, otherwise its locked to Sky.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much wireless is never as good as a wired connection. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
The speed you will get on an ADSL broadband connection is dependent on your physical distance from the telephone exchange, noise on the the line and the state of your internal telephone wiring.
Sites such as samknows will estimate the speed you are likely to get. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Sorry that does not follow see my previous post.
I thought he was asking if the speed I was getting was capable in London. As I am getting up to 17.9 Mbps d/l and 1.2 upload in London, I was just confirming that it was possible to get the speed I am getting.
If he was asking whether it was possible to get the full 20Mbps, then you are right in saying the answer is likely to be no due to the overheads such as those you stated.Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0
