I love my QVC ones, not candy striped but much more modern.
They do cast fluff till they've been washed 2 or 3 times but after that, they are ace. I've got a set on the bed now.
Are they cheaper on EBay?

You often get flannelette sheets in those little catalogues that come with the Sunday papers/TV magazines.
Also some of those catalogues aimed at 'more mature ladies' (Ambrose Wilson, Damart etc) and magazines like People's Friend. Wouldn't know about the quality of them though.
Please don't shoot me - it wasn't intended to be an 'ageist' comment.

If you have a Ponden Mills near you they do good quality flannellette sheets. otherwise I have set from Aldi (very nice but not TOP quality) and i believe Ideal World has some on website. Do NOT get them from Shaws (I did and they wore out very quickly as they were so thin) i would either order from a catalogue as you can send them back if you dont like the quality or from a shopping channel if neither of the above options available. I was extraordinarily lucky earlier this year as mum was having a clear-out and gave me three pairs of top quality flannellete sheets washed but hardly used as she prefers her high count egyptian cotton ones!0

Barneysmom, I think I paid around £50 for my ebay NN set so no cheaper than QVC. I do like some of their designs but the shedding has really put me off as I had washed the set about 8 times and it still made a really bad mess right through my house. I notice some of the reviews on there complain about the same problem sometimes so I think it is down to luck what quality you get from them.
I had forgotten I have a set of the Aldi plain flannelette sheets and agree they are ok for £15, not awful but not great. I found some really expensive ones here, look modern and great quality.....

..but they are very spendy at £40 for a fitted sheet. If I bought them I would expect them to last me forever and make the bed for me each morning too lol.0 -
The lastest Toast catalogue has them in0

the aldi ones for £15 are nice - my best set were from Ponden Mills pricey at £29 each for flat sheets but their prices change so much and if you can get to an outlet you may get them for much less!. my local fancy goods wholesalers also sells them and they are of good quality for about a tenner! but if you dont have access to wholesalers thats not much help is it?
er - i have never had a prob with fluff from them!!! but i dont use fabric conditioner with them - i boil wash them with normal powder and even tumble dried them line dried them and have never noticed any fluff prob. (it was of course my mum who said 'dont use fabric conditioner on them - when i first got married).0 -
Cheapest ones I found were at Dunelm. Believe single flats are about £7 or £8 and the doubles a pound or so dearer. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

(not stripey, though).

I bought Dunelm ones for last winter ...not a lot of fluff came off, no pilling as yet and good value.
They had two ranges last year...one a little more expensive than the other which seemed to be a little looser woven but when washed was fine.
I bought both and both are great.0
