Old fashioned stripy flannellette sheets

Options
Does anyone know where I can get those old fashioned stripy flannellette sheets from?
I have bought flannel ones from various shops but they always seem to go bobbly really quick.
My Gran had hers for years and nevver had boobly bits on them.

I have just had a look at Marshall Ward because the last time I saw them they were in catalogues. They have them so probably a lot of the other mail order places will. HTH
  • Some on here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and some are on sale....

..I haven`t got them so can`t comment on quality. I have heard that Napguard sheets are very good but haven`t personally tried them either ( but they are on my wishlist ) Apparently you should soak the new sheets in salt water before the first wash to stop pilling

I've been looking for ages for the quilt covers, thank you.

However, you couldn't just have one because of getting it dry in the winter and two work out a bit expensive. So now I have a wishlist too!
  • littlewoods.com has a range of flannelette quilt covers and sheets, and pillowcases.....they are all BOGOF (it doesntr say on all of them on site but if you go into product they are!)....it works out not much more expensive than their cheapest ranges because of this!! mine are due to be delivered tomorrow-cant wait!!

I've got a couple of flanelette sheets bought locally not online, they make it very difficult to get out of bed in the morning :D

Of no use whatsoever, but I thought I'd better warn you all

Oooooooooooh there's some lovely bed sheets on there!! I want I want!
  • I had a set of Northern Nights flannelette bedding last winter, bought from ebay. It was mostly navy blue and my whole house ended up with thick navy dust/fluff everywhere, all along my skirting boards etc. It drove me mad so I had to get rid of it.

I have a lovely flannelette duvet cover that came from Tchibo, really soft and no pilling. Sadly this year I have upgraded to a king size duvet so ds will get the old snuggly duvet cover on his bed. I bought some posh cotton sateen Sheridan duvet covers from Dawsons Dept Store online but as the weather gets chilly I am hankering after some soft snuggliness. I wish someone would make flannelette duvet covers that were a bit more contemporary in design.......though ultimately I will happily sacrifice fashion for comfort!
