I have just got a mp3 player for 10 year old son and have credits in place, thanks, can someone suggest a good compilation album I can download for him that will have current hits he might know, to start him off.
Thanks0 -
OK - so far, if you have followed the whole thread, you should have got £68 of free credit, on each account you have created.
What is the best / most expensive / oddest album you have got with all these free codes ?
For the most expensive, I 'bought' John Lennon, Anthology for £34.99, and the oddest - Top Of The Pops, One Hit Wonders, for £19.99
Anyone done better ?
The most I paid was £24.99. Even though it was free, I still felt ripped off. :rotfl:0 -
I got tripled charged for a £7.99 album by Nokia music. Fortunately it was free credit, but it still means I could have downloaded two more albums if it hadn't screwed up.
Triple charged - wow, that's a good one !
Oh well - just create another account, put on £28 of credit (Pepsi cose, and latest 6 Misfits), and carry on !0 -

Try any of these -

£24.99 each, so if you have all the credits in place you can get one of them.
40 or so tracks on them, so not terrrible value ...0 -
Codes still working which is a bit surprising... Just added £28 to ONE of my Nokia accounts...0

A tip for everyone.
I used to load £28 on to account after creating one.
For some reason I noticed that it started taking more credit than the album price, if an £7.99 album had more than 15 tracks on it for instance. I think the Nokia system is glitch ridden, so if an album has more tracks than £0.79 x 10, it sometimes takes more.
So what I do now is just load enough credits for the album that I want (2 x £4 codes) for a £7.99 one.
It still gives a "not enough credit" message after buying it and tracks won't download because of this (even though it's enough), but all you have to do is close Nokia OVI and open it up again for all the tracks to download.

Simples.
While that works, if you then add more credit it will take from it anything that was over-charged.
So say you had £12 of credit, and downloaded an album for £7.99 that 'double-charged', it would show £0 credit when in fact, you have -£3.98 of credit. So when you then put on another £4 credit, it will take from that and show only £0.02 in your account.
Fine for 'free' credits, but if it was my real money, I would be very peeved to say the least.0 -

Yup...while the codes are working it just cost £15.98 to download Rhianna's 15 track album which costs £7.99. I've e-mailed them to see what happens. I can't remember whether I gave any card details or not (bad I know) so I don't want to try and do anything with the remaining £12.
As others have said. I wouldn't use this if I had to pay. I'm of the opinion that these free codes are supposed to lure you to use them for future downloads but after having that problem, which to be fair, is about as big as they come (paying twice) added to the fact that they are DRM tracks and also if you look through the store, it's a bit like Itunes...expensive.
Amazon MP3 downloader is the best I've come across so far. Tesco isn't too bad either. HMV is rubbish and as mentioned, Itunes is rubbish.0 -

You shouldn't have done, certainly if you joined up through this or a similar thread.
You would have just given a (new) username, password and email address.0
