Leaving AOL

Options
Sorry to be a pain

Just a quick question, I am going to leave AOL and join BT asap (contract expires 18th October 2009)

Whats the best way to get MAC code - contact AOL or let BT do it all?

Thanks

I didn't think another ISP could get your MAC code, maybe wrong.
I would get it from AOL personally and then you know it has been done

Correct, the OP needs to get the MAC ...just remember to make sure that AOL cancel once the changeover has happened.

You need to phone AOL they will then e-mail the MAC code to you for you to pass onto BT. You will then have to phone AOL to cancel with them once your new ISP is up and running.

Good luck with the move, BTW it is a MAC not a MAC Code.;);)

The MAC stands for; Migration Access Code. ;)

..and make absolutely sure they give you a reference code when you phone them to cancel, and write it down.

AOL are a nightmare for denying that people have cancelled.
