Well, I am back from swimming...

We've been swimming this morning too and then for the Sunday carvery up at a nice local pub :)

I'm now tucked up in an armchair in my comfy clothes and a fleecy blanket because it's That time of the month and I've got really bad pains :(

I don't think the swimming helped, especially being coerced into zooming down the waterslide repeatedly with Jess on my knee.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Doesn't automatically follow that they're happy though. Do they appreciate all they have?

sally~they might seem as if they have loads of money but some of them at least are likely in a pile of pooh.

Most of them are from quite affluent families with professional parents (dr's, Surgeons, Dentists, teachers or own businesses) so pretty sure most of them have money. Like you say though there maybe a couple who are in the poo..

Just fed up with having no money, renting the smallest house in history. I know I should be grateful that I have a roof and we are clothed, have food and are warm but today I am envious. Know it will pass!

Sally, most of DS's friends live like that too but last year one set of parents whose life seemed idyllic split up and believe me I wouldn't swap places for the world. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors and everyone has their own problems, I think we just have to make the best of what we have and not compare ourselves with others - just leads to either envy or smugness!
