Had a lovely day yesterday just chillin in the garden with the children. Am all organised today, going to take a few things back to Matalan and then come home and chill!

Just paid my daily £1, so since Friday I am £76 nearer my goal.

Great to have you back NDD :) The sunshine is free entertainment! I find myself sitting outside and reading or catching up on all those little jobs that I've never finished. Not using electric then either with the TV on. :)

Tomorrow is 1st July, which will mean there are 741 days for me to reach my goal of becoming debt free...... Oh I can't wait! I would really like to achieve this goal a lot sooner but if I don't, 12th July 2012 sounds fine to me!

    My First Step will be:
.... to clear £3,000 by 31st December 2010. I will work on paying an extra £750 per month during July, August, September and December. I have holidays booked for October and November so will not commit to paying anything extra during these months, but will NOT spend ANYTHING on my credit card whilst I'm away.

This is going to be a bit of a challenge..... I will do it and feeling the freedom of being debt free is keeping me focussed.

I am going to keep my daily £1's in place and endeavour to update my diary every day.

Off to bed now.... nite nite!

Well today has been really great!

I have managed my first no spend day of the month. I hadn't had time to make lunch this morning so thought I'd have to spend on sarnies. Luckily, a meeting ran over and as a result we were taken for lunch - so it didn't cost me a penny!

Have paid my daily £1 and am off now to put next week's meal plan together....

    Hooray it's Friday!!

I've just paid my daily £1.

Have lots to do today (besides work!) to get ready for the weekend. Haven't got any trips or anything planned but want to do a spot of de-cluttering and don't want any excuses as to why I can't get around to it!

    Enjoy your day x

    Morning!

Well this weekend has been good so far. Haven't wasted a penny! I've just paid yesterday's and today's £1's so am up to date again :)

We have just booked our summer holiday and paid cash for it! I can't tell you how good it feels to know we can lay by the pool and not owe a bean when we get home :) Our holiday is all inclusive, so we won't need very much spending money either, and as we had a big holiday last year, apart from a few bits and pieces for the children, we won't be going out and splashing the cash on lots of new clothes either. We won't be going away until late summer so a little while yet, but I am desperate to re-charge my batteries.

So, one of my other long term goals is to get fit, not for vanity reasons, but with all I want to accomplish I need to be on tip top form. The truth is I need to lose approx 3 stones and the thought terrifies me. I have been on and off diets for years and have just reached the point that if I don't do something NOW I will remain as i am which will cause me health problems in the future.

I have put together a meal plan for this week..... no faddy diet, I am going to eat healthily and look after myself. Being a mum with 2 small children, hubby, house and full time job, I usually appear bottom of my things to do list. But for now, I am going to be pushing myself to the top of the list whilst I continue to care and look after my family.

I have no inclination for exercise, but have decided that I need to do some type of work out at least 5 times a week. And I've decided to treat it as "me" time where I can think about the things that I want.

My inspiration for doing this is:
    • to feel a whole lot better, less tired and frumpy and to shine as a positive, busy, fulfilled and abundant woman :)
    • to have more time and energy for my marriage
    • to be around as long as possible for DD and DS
    • to feel fabulous on holiday
    • to fit in to a gorgeous little black number I have bought and would like to wear when hubby and I go on our annual "just the 2 of us" weekend at the end of November.
I am not cutting anything out, but instead will focus on more healthy options e.g., water instead of wine sometimes!!:rotfl:

I'll also be focussing on reducing my debt as I really would like to pay my unsecured debt before July 2012.

    Off I go!

Hi NDD i love the plan. I might just nick it fromyou- with your permission of course!
I have fallen off the MSE wagon and badly- so much so that i'm hardly even lurking anymore.
Anyhow- this is just a bit of encouragement for you to say keep on at it. You're doing great and don't stop posting- i'm sure i'm not the only lurker here!

Just wanted to say I'm really impressed with your commitment! The £1 a day really does work. Infact I am going to get around to doing this from my next pay day. This month has been too tight to do anything extra.
