I had to deal with this on a neighbour's laptop recently. I used combofix to shift it.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofixIt's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
I will download and try combofix , thanks . Would anybody know how to re-activate my laptop mouse pad as i cant point the curser at anything !0

Did you UPDATE and run malwarebytes on a FULL scan?
If not then id recommend you do that before running combofix:idea:0 -
Hi RIK :A
I ran full scan after update , 50 odd infections , so i removed them ,it rebooted . but now i cant use my mouse pad (pointing device ) to access or run any programs .
When i try to boot into safe mode it just reboots0 -
Best bet is go buy a cheapie USB mouse from asda or wherever then
Though if THATs happened I suspect that your computer may be well and truly knackered:idea:0 -
Cheers RIK , will try that later .
just been doing at bit of googling theres somthing about fn + f7 that might enable the pointing deviceso i will try that aswell
Thanks for your input !;)
At least if its knackered its a good excuse to get a nice new one :rotfl:
can anybody lend me £5000 -
I've had one with this infection too in the last couple of weeks.....MBAM didn't fully shift it
, but Combofix did
Well, that may not be strictly true.....the fact that AvPro was on there let allsorts of other stuff in as well. Between MBAM and Combofix, they cleared it all out......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Alternatively, just reinstall windows and don't spend anything....0 -
If i can get the pointing device to work , i think i might re-install
Nice clean machine :j0 -
When I fixed my neighbour's that had this on Malwarebytes wouldn't shift it. In fact it, or some other virus, stopped Malwarebytes and all the other AV stuff running. Once I'd run Combofix a scan with Malwarebytes found and fixed a few other problems. It's my problem, it's my problem
