Oooooh you've all made me hungry!

    Ours this week are:
Monday - Jamies Ministry of food Fajitas with guacamole & hm salsa (very nice they were too ;))
Tuesday - Blue cheese & squash risotto
Wednesday - Heidi Pie & mash
Thursday - Leftover blue cheese & squash risotto
    Friday - Leftover Heidi Pie
    Saturday - Fish Pie
Sunday - JOMOF Pot roast meat loaf.

Have had the ministry of food book for a while now and not tried a recipe we didn't like yet.

We eat a lot of leftovers as theres just the 2 of us, but I always cook for 4 (or more) as it saves me time. Normally i'd put it in the freezer, but the pie & risotto don't freeze well lol

I make everything from scratch - I work full time and I really can't see a reason for anyone not to. It's easy and tasty :D

Thanks so much Aless, it looks/sounds (? :rotfl:) yummy! Do you roll the sausagemeat into little balls, and do you think I could use minced pork mushed up with lots of spices/herbs instead?

Champys, I am really looking forward to your sauerkraut soup tomorrow ;):D

No, it's browned off in loose/mince form so minced pork would work equally well!

    hello everyone.
my week always starts on a wed-day pay day lol.
this is for 2 adults and 3 children.
wed- spag bowl and angel delight
thursday- shephereds pie made wed-night. triffle fresh fruit
fri- beef welington & blackberry mousse
sat- sausage hot pot choclate pudding
sun- roast chicken dinner & pineapple upside down pudding
mon chicken stew and dunplings & jam pudding
tues-fish fingers and chips ice cream and fruit

all the puddings are made with potatoes but dont tell the kids. they love them but wont eat them if i told them how they are made lol..
sunday is when i do most of my baking bread and cakes ready for school.
the bread is also made with potatoes.

i work with alot of older people and i was talking to them a few weeks ago about how bored we were getting with the same old meals every day and not having the money to buy some nice dinners. the old dears got togetter and have written out aload of very old recipes for me some of them are from the 30s and 40s i really dont know how i had got by without them. alot of the recipes are cooking with potatoes even in cakes puddings and bread. i now know how to pot roast instead of dry roasting, so i now buy the less expensive cuts of meat.
i have now got the pressure cooker out of the loft been up there for 10 years lol.and have been using that.
im not yet a batch cooking queen but im a good runner up lol
