Thanks, but is it worth the effort ?, I just know there is no way they have our number, so they must have got it from the telephone company, scary at what info they can get, the lady who rang said she had spent a hour and half tracking hubby down just to tell him a cheque was in the post for over payment, so good news but I still want them to write not telephone, so telephone is now being cancelled we will stick to mobiles in future
Thank you0 -
The CSA can find out how much CTC and TC you get if the NRP is self employed though. My Husband ( NRP) received a phone call a few weeks ago from the CSA who told him to the penny how much ctc we get per month, and that they are backdating it for 18 months ( nearly 4 grand of arrears added ) and that weekly payments have doubled. They found out from the Inland revenue.
I don't object to them using the NRP WT tax credits, but to use the CTC should be stopped. We also get the disability element of CTC as our 2 children are disabled and they even use that. I don't see why they should benefit from my childrens disabilities.
Angel are you sure that this came direct from CSA, you can phone up Inland Revenue and ask who has asked for your details, its has been done many a time, infact you are more than within your rights to find out who has asked for your details
Many ex's manyage to find out partners details but using vindictive ways of getting the information needed so that they can get more money
If you get CTC with a Disablility element then I would query that also with the CSA as that really should never be allowed, write a letter to your MP as stated in lots of posts and inclue the Disability that your child has and that a % of that is going on your partners children and your disabled child needs this extra amount
Inform CSA that you are going to a MP and wait and see what response you get, also make sure that the PWC is decalring everything she brings in, if she is receiving over £200 pw CTC which believe me most PWC do, then CSA can look at that
Also query why it has been backdated for 18 months
Does your husband/partner pay into a Pension, one word of advice 100% of the Pension contribution gets taken into account, therefore perhaps increasing it would significantly help you,
I agree also all NRPS should pay for there children, but not if they are not allowed to see them, thats is a disgrace, all PWC regardless of gender are only interested in getting money and do not care where it comes from, they have no respect for any other children and as long as it lines there pocket and they continues to live off everyone else they do not care of the repercussions, that will never change, once they are onto a good thing they wont go back
I am very surprised that they have managed to get hold of your details regarding CTC as if this has not been provided to them by your partner then I would take action as CTC is paid to the Mother 99% of the time and WTC is paid to the earner therefore in your instance the NRP, They have breached some sort of identity fraud to obtain your information, they can only access information on the NRP as stated in my very first post0 -

Yes it really is necessary, it is identity fraud of how they are obtaining your details and have no permission to do so , you are well within your rights to do so, and I believe you should.
You would act on it if they obtained your bank details wouldnt you?0 -

If you have a new partner and you have a child with them any CTC paid for that child will have to be declared.0 -

In those circumstances yes, but what if they dont have children with them? Which nearly half dont!
And CSA do not just take into account a % of the CTC they take it all in, that is why there are so many raw posts on this because it is ludicrous, whether the children the NRPs lives with are his or not! The NRP and his partner gets penalised for the amount of children living with them, something that should never be allowed to happen, it should solely be done on the NRPs income ONLY and if they receive WTC then a % of that aswell not something thats doesnt even belong to the NRP and would be paid whether the NRP lived there or not! Which is what the CSA fail to understand the NRP partner will get the CTC regardless of whether the NRP lives there or not which just goes to show how unfair it is0 -

Your right, I should, they are so out of order. Just had so much much of them the last few months I don't feel like the confontation. I will bite the bullet though because they should not be alowed to get away with it. I have always been so careful with my details, when I joined telephone company I made them put in in writing to me not to disclose number to anyone. Do you think asking for a copy of the file they hold will give the answer or do I need to go deeper0 -

Ring them up and ask how someone could have got hold of your details, also ask for a copy of your file you are within your rights to do this, regardles sof what they say to you, you do not have to tell them why you want it either, even though they will say well we dont just give it out, or sorry we cant do that, they can and if you ask for it, they have to oblige, despite them not liking it one bit!! See what you get from there firstly
So many PWC have received the NRP details through errors on CSA's half is unbelieveable and they still to this day refuse to say it is there fault
Seriously do something about it0 -

Thing is....pwc are shaping the future for their sons who will one day be a parent and maybe find themselves in the same situation where as he has to pay maintenance and not allowed contact, some pwc even think that the nrp should not go onto have children if he cant afford the maintenance for his 1st children, so basically for most nrps they can not have second children because they are on a low wage and yet the pwc can because they can afford to because they have their wage, new partners wage and nrp financial support.
Oh dear!! How some people think, lets hope they practice what they preach when they find their sons in the same predicament I wonder how that will go down with their son who has been denied access to his children, on a low wage, trying to re-build his life, looking for love, I wonder if they will still have the same attitude when its their own in that situation?0 -
Yes Chris I totally agree
CSA should be encouraging the benefit seeking PWC and telling them they either receive CSA or they get a job and get off of benefits or they have half of the CSA, how many parents would move there backsides then
Also I do believe and I would love this to come into effect although I doubt this will ever happen, CSA should only be paid to PWC if they have continous access with there children, many PWC take take take but still will not let NRP see there children, something that should be stopped immediately
They should not be allowed to do it, but nothing is done to stop them from doing this EVER
Many PWC get more in benefits and CSA then an average man working 42 hours a week and yet the average man struggles to live his life due to hefty CSA amounts0
