    How do I get a HC1 form?
SFE lost my change of circumstances form and my identity declaration form. They also don't know why I've got a benefit confirmation form, when it says on my application I want the Special Support Grant (instead of Maintainence), so it doesn't mess up my money. Also, I found out today, THREE MONTHS after it being received, that they won't do my DSA assessment until my id check goes through, and God knows how long that'll take.

They should have them at the pharmacy, GP or dentist

  • Good news about the keys Sammy.
It was backdated - just reduced.
Mum has just bought me the money for the accountant.
Church meeting at 6.30. I will walk to save petrol and hopefully get murdered on the way back. :rotfl:
At least it is somebody else's gas and electricity although there is a donation box for the meal.

    What Linda said!

About the student loan stuff, if you're on income support then they'll take the amount that you can get in student loans into account as income - whether you take the loans or not. So make sure you're doing what's best for your income there. I'm sure you already know, but as a disabled student you can claim DLA, IB and Housing benefit as a student, and income support if your contact hours are less than 16 hours a week.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I get DLA and IB already (long term medical condition) Think it's less than 16, I'll have to find out. Does anyone know about Severe Disablement....tried asking on Benefits board but they keep saying it's all ESA now, which it ain't as I'm still on IB. Stll may need the short term loan, am thinking of about £100-150 as it's not too much to pay back.

De-lurking to say that Linda's post about toe nails made my stomach go right over _pale_ feel very queasy indeed!

It tells me that I'm definitely doing the right thing by not exercising :o

Hope they grow back soon Linda!

I think that crosses over into tmi, lol.

Elfen, I get Severe Disablement Allowance, if that's what you meant. It's a precurser to IB, so you can't get it. Unless you meant the Severe Disability Premium, which is part of Income Support. Most people get the two confused, because SDA hasn't been around for about 10 years, and the IS thing isn't widely known about anyway. You're eligible for the premium on IS if you get higher rate DLA (possibly middle, I'm not sure) and no one cares for you, and you live alone. 'Alone' means not living with family, or someone who would be expected to care for you - so if you're in a shared house, for instance, then you can still get it.

For a short term loan you could try the uni hardship fund, or maybe a crisis loan from the DWP.
