    Pigs arrived.
Accountant not paying the mortgage but needs to sign form to say ceased trading.
Lovely of parents I know but they are late 70s and I feel such a failure.
    Sorry about the fishman Linda.

Ahhh -makes sense now - it's not you that's a failure - it's the system - how they can expect anyone to live without any money coming in for 10 weeks or more and loose the forms so many times I don't know. It would be hard enough without them being in such a shambles. It just makes me cross - you obviously did your best - were self-employed - not some criminal - yet this country can't even give you alittle help when you need it.
And we're in the middle of a recession which doesn't help.
You are getting there - just got to keep going - hopefully you can get the other payments sorted soon.
    Keep Going.

Bookie do you not get ANY back dated payments at all? So basically they take as long as they like, the longer the better so that they don't have to pay out..surely that can't be right?

    Afternoon all

Bookie - Yay on the money :T And you're not a failure, it's just one of lifes blips.

Sally - Ohhhhh I bet you were so angry. Had your DH thought about the logistics of the job yet? Is it workable?

Came down to a humungus dead rat at the bottom of the stairs this morning and small cat looking all pleased with himself...he then proceeded to lift his paw and let the mouse he was saving as the "icing on the cake" run around the living room. I really didn't need that at 6am.....he eventually took the mouse outside to torment it for an hour before doing the decent thing.

Just popped into town and got soaked...picked up a box of asda own brandy liquiors for DH to cheer him up....but seem to have nearly eaten half the box myself .....ooops :D

Bookie - great news about jsa but it's pants they can't back date the payment up to when you first submitted the claim!

Slly - Let's just hope your OH gets the job then he can pay his fine! I'd be spitting nails if I was you.

Ames - great news about the appointment at ME clinic being so soon.

Right, am off to make up a batch of chicken casserole and another of red lentil mush for Evie (get me the next domestic goddess)!

Is it wrong that that's just made me think maybe a cat's not such a bad idea? I've always seen them as evil and selfish beings, but maybe they have personalities too.... I've been thinking about getting a pet when everything's sorted and been on an even keel for a few months, but I was thinking dog. (there's a field about 100 yards away, I'd just have to take it there a couple of times a day and throw a ball for it, so walking it wouldn't be such a problem.)
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

cats have amazing personalities, my two are brother and sister and yet they are so different, each having their own little quirks, habits and favourite sleeping places.
If cats could talk they'd be the most sarcastic creatures on the planet.
