Just had to ask parents for £100 to pay accountant so she will pay the mortgage protecion policy. Not fair to them.
Retreated to blanket and settee for a wee sob.

Great news on the JSA Bookie, it's about time that arrived.

I should be job hunting, but I'm tempted by a nap before work. Hmmmmm

    SRM, that sounds awful.

Sally, sorry to hear that, although I think I got caught by a speed camera the other week, I've got about a week and a half left to wait for one through the post before I know for sure. I think it's crazy though that a speeding fine is less than a parking fine!

Bookie, sorry to hear that, the DWP are useless at the best of times, I can only imagine how much worse they'll be in a recession with loads more claims to process.

Just back from my blood test, what's the betting I'll get a letter in a week saying they need to repeat them?!

Sorry to hear you are feeling pants Bookie - it does sound like you are making progress - painfully slow mind you but it seems like you are up against a system falling apart at the seems - I am glad they have managed to get some money to you.
Is your accountant paying the mortgage? I'm a tad confused - anyway yay for parents for lending you money.
Hope things start speeding up a bit for you - how's your MP - on first name terms yet? might be time for yet more emails/letters.
Oh and did your pigs turn up - was worried about them. :rotfl:.

  • Pigs arrived.
Accountant not paying the mortgage but needs to sign form to say ceased trading.
Lovely of parents I know but they are late 70s and I feel such a failure.
    Sorry about the fishman Linda.

You're not a failure, any more than Principles or Woolworths are, you're a victim of recession.

Just made my appointment with the ME clinic, for the 27th of this month, thought I'd be waiting ages!
