heated door mirrors

hiya

we have a vauxhall 1.6 w reg manual but it has no heated switch for the door mirrors is there a way of drying out the mirrors?

we had a later model before which was an r reg and that had a switch for the door mirrors seems stange not to have 1 on a later model.

wonder if the vaxhall has added the swtich to another yet i've tried the air con swiches and rear view heater but nothing seems to work and don't have the manual

ta if anyone can help

Usually they come on with the rear screen. If they don't then either they are faulty, or you don't have them!

Exactly what car is it, and what trim level (e.g LS, GL, CD etc)?? Are the door mirrors adjusted manually with a lever, or electrically with some sort of rocker switch arrangement??

When you are doing your first parade in the morning (checking lights, oil etc) give them a wipe on the way past................;) :p

But I must say heated mirrors are nice.
  • If you havent got eleccy door mirror and want to fit them (will be heated to) I know of a straight forward 'How to' I found on a Astra owners club website that I used to fit eleccy mirrors on my Astra

If your interested let me know and I'll see if I can find it

P.S Mine is a 2001 SRi and it only had manaul door mirror, and the SRi is quite high up the spec list
