Hi all,
Found this site to be useful for comparing CPU's. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
Of course the CPU is only one component. There's graphics and battery life to be considered but it's nice to see how the processors compare. Hope this is useful to someone else out there.0 -
Well after about two weeks of searching through pages of advice, recomendations and countless internet sites I have decided on one of two options. Just cant decide between the two as both seem so good, but if anyone has anything to add that I may be missing about one or the other to sway my decision I would be grateful.

Comparing your laptop 1 (Samsung) and 2(HP). The HP has a better processor than the T4200 pentium dual cre of Samsung. Its slightly better. However, HP uses AMD instead of Intel. Some people dont like using AMD and Im not a huge fan of it myself although my PC at home is AMD. Its fine and its better than you intel of samsung. The HP also has a better graphic ard than the samsung, in fact a very good one. They both have windows 7.
If i had to choose one, it'd be the second one - HP.
Hope that helps.0 -

Its a very tight budget and for that price, the best i could find is an Acer model. Its Acer Extensa 5630EZ. Its got Pentium dual core T4300 processor, 15.4' screen. Its 310 pounds. 10 quid over your budget. Hope that helps.

Anyone any views on this one please?
The newspaper pullout this weekend does state 4xUSB but their spec online says 2xUSB.
Think I will call in today to find out as 2 USB sockets is nowhere near enough.
But would be good to get a review from anyone with one of these????
Thanks
EDIT: IT DOES ONLY HAVE 2 X USB - CHECKED IN-STORE 09/11/09
Does anyone know if the Argos one (The 17" Acer with 2 USB's, model 77322) has Bluetooth built in? If it does, I could live with 2 USB sockets, but if I need to use a USB dongle, 1 spare is definitely out of the question, which is a shame, as the spec is superb.0
