Also we are beware of any ready installed anti virus programes on a very kind 90 day trial as they are utter s**t and you can't get them off your damn puter for love nor money these are all things that make your puter run slower than normal I am certainly no expert and I am prob wrong about a few details and I am sure I will be shot down in flames very soon !

You are spot on with that advice. I get fed up with all the pointless "free trial" software they stick on new pc's. Acer and Dell are the worst culprets. If I wanted bloody Macaffee anti virus I would go and buy it, but I wouldnt cos its rubbish and it can be a pain in the a**e to get shot of the free trial because it won't uninstall propally unless you have some proper removal software. Grrrrrr!

Just bought one of these from Morrisons for £249:

All the family were pitching in for my Mum in Laws 70th.It will be her first computer so doesn't need to be all singing and all dancing. If it proves to be reliable we'll all be well happy.

:TThank you sukysue and chili - I love the look of both of those, now we just need to work out how to pay for it!! My credit card is looking at me with an evil eye!

Im glad I posted a message - I wasnt sure if I would get a reply but thank you so much for helping.

Does ebuyer do any discount codes or cashback? I have searched but cant find anything.

Not bad for the price although very basic. I would stick an extra gig of ram or 2 in it though otherwise vista will struggle. Get it from http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.aspx

Sadly they dont but they are one of the best and cheapest suppliers around. I couldnt find them any cheaper. By all means shop around though.

Im looking for the best processor available, 4GB memory and high quality screen. Grpahics and hard drive memory do not matter to much. My budget is £500 although £600 tops.

I dont know which processor to go for, so confusing as to which is the best when they are the same Ghz.

This is my cheaper back up at the minute http://www.ebuyer.com/product/158885

However I have also found this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/158885 with a better processor, is it worth the difference, does anyone know of any better specs for the same price of £549 or under? I cant find any.

    What do people think?

    Cheers in advance
