You can forget about p4 then , and any decent gaming watching dvds.What you need is centrino 1.5 12 inch tft 512mb , second battery , onboard graphics , that would garuntee you 2 hrs.
check out dell , evesham or rockdirect , look for those with a 3yr waranty as standard that covers accidental and screen (not just labour fro the screen , sneaky)and the ability to add a 2nd battery or upgrade the original one to 12cell.

Just a word of warning Lofty, if you take your laptop to lectures you will look very out of place. after nearly 4 years at Uni only once have I seen a laptop in a lecture. Everyone was asking each other why they needed it there! Just some advice..........
