Pooky, I don't understand what you mean about PALS not helping unless you need a walking aid? They're there to be your advocate with health services, whatever the problem.

I've just been and sorted out the theatre tickets, boy was it scary driving out there. A van went past and went through a puddle - the spray totally covered the car, it was like plunging into a river or something. Not going out again tonight!
I'm annoyed with the DWP, I lent ex some money at the weekend and he was supposed to pay me back today, but they forgot to send his payment to his bank! I was next to him when he phoned them, so I know he's not making it up. It's not too bad for him, but if it was someone with bills to pay, a family etc, it would have been a nightmare! They're issuing him a counter giro tomorrow morning, if he hadn't gone to the bank to get my money who knows how long it would have taken. I mean, how can they just 'forget' to pay? Anyway, rant over....Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Pooky, can I be brutally honest...when my OH was in a car accident he had to see a specialist and it was almost like a conveyor belt of people in and out of the clinic.....said consultant again didn't even really look at the notes, just said to my OH - oh you must be suffering, I will write that in your notes. It is almost like, if you are in a car accident and are claiming on the insurance they don't really see you as a 'person' just as a claimant - no matter how much you are suffering......

We tried Pals Gem but you don't qualify unless you need a walking aid....which he doesn't have as he doesn't have the grip to hold one let alone lean on.
Bummer, you can still make a complaint through them though about this useless doctor?
