LOL! When my lad was tiny, New Yankee Workshop (or "Man Making" as he called it) would mesmerise him for hours on a Saturday morning whilst Mum caught up with some sleep. Wouldn't get away with it now....

Yes we seem to have strayed from your OP .
Would love to have the enormous basement often displayed .
But I do have the hot air system ( a marmite )
Perhaps some one ( Canucklehead ??) could tell me the reason /thinking about the ventilation on the plumbing systems.
Good afternoon: info on Ontario plumbing ventilation here....the Plumbing Code itself isn't available online unless you want to pay big bucks;)
HTH
CanuckleheadAsk to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0 -
I would never knowingly miss "Holmes on Homes". I am an avid watcher of any programme about construction of any kind. When you see some of the jobs that he gets called in for, you can see why he is so uptight about the way that the so-called contractors leave their customers houses. I could wish that there was an equivalent programme over here.. DIY SOS is ok, but I could do without all the horsing around.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
My Husband and I appeared on one of his shows (Build, buy or restore) about 4 years ago. They are still showing it, to my knowledge...although we never did get to see it !!! Don't have Sky anymore.
Anyhow...apart from being very handsome, suave, sophisticated, sexy etc etc etc...he is also a nice bloke, who knows what he is talking about.
I haven't seen any of his newer shows, but the three days we spent in his company, we were very impressed by his knowledge. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
